Doesn't feel like St Patrick's Day

I'm not Irish, but it sure felt weird today.

No parades.

No packed bars.

No restaurants serving up traditional Irish food.

Nobody even wearing green.

Just another victim of Coronamania sad

I am Irish and it felt like a regular St Patrick's day to me. Then again, I never celebrate St Patrick's day anyway so as far as I'm concerned, it's just another day.

Interesting, why not? In the states it's usually a big deal, even for those who don't have any Irish blood in them. lol

I just don't see why I should celebrate a Brit forcing his religion on my ancestors.

Yeah. It’s nuts that America goes mad for it.

The same reason they celebrate cinco de mayo, drinking and partying is involved, pfft to all that meaning and other stuff. If a party can be attached to it we'll celebrate it.
