LET'S BEGIN AT THE BEGINNIN!!!

"

Two Types of Knowledge:

There are two types of knowledge and most of us focus on the wrong one.

The first type of knowledge focuses on knowing the name of something.

The second focuses on knowing something. These are not the same thing.

The famous Nobel winning physicist Richard Feynman understood the difference between kn... something and it’s one of the most important reasons for his success. In fact, he created a formula for learning that ensured he understood something better than everyone else. It’s called the Feynman Technique and it will help you learn anything faster and with greater understanding. Best of all, it’s incredibly easy to implement.

“The person who says he knows what he thinks but cannot express it usually does not know what he thinks.” — Mortimer Adler

this is about learnin which is the genesis of research...

When I first hear research I think science but on further thought I think marketing. I'm sure I'm missing other possibilities which means this is not a clear sentence, what kind of research are you referring to?

Was referring to social research but also interested in hearing about any kind cause I’ve had some experience volunteering in research and sometimes consider finding work in that area

The census bureau is in full swing, there's more jobs than census takers and supervisors. I used to work for the 90s census in office, a lot of stuff was going on then. There's the county labs, they have research facilities I know of the medical ones. A lot of Ph'Ders have grants to hire. Wish I knew sure fire directions but things are in constant change and I don't keep up with those things anymore.

U need to examine your ACADEMIC interest, and your capacity for time commitment to its pursuit. Simple as that. wink

So true, it felt like a full time commitment I sometimes took home when I did my research placement in grad school. Even had to skip a Janet show cause it took over
