If it's not too nosy...how old are your kids?
twins 8 and a 12 year old. All life-long veggies
Awww...sounds like an adorable, bustling-busy, veggie family. : )
Must have been super-busy at times like when you had a 4-year-old and twin babies!

Well, it's all done. Feel a bit strange today. I've had friends bringing me lots of chocolate and cupcakes to 'celebrate' with. Yet I feel there's nothing to celebrate. I mean celebrating going back into the world of animal cruelty feels wrong. I will eat the chocolate and cake later (I've had massive cravings for good chocolate this past week), but I'm going to do it alone and reflect on what I want for the future. Realistically I can't go full-time vegan. It just wouldn't work with family etc... but I'm going to try to stay away from cheese, which will join milk and yoghurt as things I avoid as much as possible. Thank you everyone who joined in the thread though, I feel we've had some interesting discussions, some new recipes, and lots of support when I thought I'd get trolled. Thank you Purple friends xx |

well done maplenpg!
Is dark chocolate vegan?
Thanks Poppy!
Some dark chocolate is vegan and some isn't. I've found it a bit of a minefield TBH. The vegan milk chocolate is not good, there's a long way to go yet. And my problem with vegan dark chocolate is that it tends to be sold as large bars, and as anyone who knows me knows, I no no self-limiter when it comes to chocolate . |
