I still need to see this! Almodovar is one of my favorites. I hear Banderas turned out a career best in this role.

Yes, definitely go see it or stream it. Bandera was wonderful..

It's in my top ten films of 2019. Definitely one of Almodóvar's best.

He is such a terrific filmmaker. His films are so well executed, they contain humor and sincerity and raw emotion. I'll be checking Pain and Glory out this week - I cannot believe I missed it in the theaters neutral

Anybody with some great tips? There aren't too many that I'm aware of. I already saw:

A good Year

Sideways

Bottle Shock

I know about some others but can't find those online...

Curious to see your rating of it after you see it.

I've got to see it too! Must have had a short run, saw Banderas make some talk show rounds.

Well, there's Days of Wine and Roses... but it's not about the wine so much as it's about the excess of imbibing wine wink

Sideways is a good one, though. A Giamatti tour de force nod

it's kind of a tragic story, despite Edwards.

Days is a really really depressing movie. Ditto Leaving Las Vegas. Not that they're not "good".

haha, right?

Remember getting drawn into it then...whoa. Blake Edwards went through serious alcoholism and treatment. He talked about it. Julie Andrews who was married to him is still very open about it.

Sideways is so funny. Haden Church wrecking the car cracks me up everytime.

CatVideoFest 2020 (2020) - A compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos and a classic internet powerhouses.

Hmm. My friend dragged me to this screening which admittedly had a few truly funny clips although most were just cats being cats in my opinion. I would have liked more of the short documentaries that were sprinkled throughout which I found more appealing. Tickets sales help raise money for cats in need. 2/5

I'm behind a little bit, but I'll catch up:

Portrait of A Lady on Fire (2019)

A beautifully filmed and intimate love story set in pre-revolutionary France. It's like Blue Is The Warmest Color meets Brokeback Mountain, with a splash of The Lighthouse.

Murder On The Orient Express (2017)

Kenneth Branagh sure makes a great mystery movie. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. And it had a great, diverse cast.
