Vikings put up a better fight than Green Bay...49ers defense is too big and too athletic..

Seeing the Lamar Hunt trophy back in KC is a fantastic thing.

I'll tell you a TRUE story. When I was 15 I got a job at a local amusement park, named World's of Fun. I worked on the ride called the Octopus. I had been eyeing one of those HUGE jawbreakers that they had in the candy shop. So 1 day went I went on break I went and bought one and of course had it in my cheek. I decided to kill the rest of my break walking around the park. A gentleman walked up to me and asked what I was doing out of my area, because I worked in the Oriental section of the park and my uniform was Oriental themed. As any 15 year old would do, I informed him that I was on my break and decided to walk around the park, he asked what was in my mouth since my cheek looked like I had a golf ball in it, and I informed him that it was a huge jawbreaker. He then informed me that as an employee, I could not be walking around out of my area, withh food in my mouth, he asked me if I knew who he was, and I of course had no idea.. He told me to go on back to my ride, and to watch for him and he would wave to me, then I was to ask my manager who he was. So I went back to my ride and sure enough, the gentleman was true to his word and was in the crowd waving at me, I asked my manager who that was, and she replied, you don't know him? I said, am I supposed to? She said that is LAMAR HUNT, he owns Worlds of Fun and the KC Chiefs...........when I looked back at him, he was laughing at me. lol

For 5 years I worked at that park. For 5 years when Lamar Hunt was in town he came to the park every day, to make sure everything was working and everything was kept clean before the park opened.. He named me 'the octopus lady'. lol He made sure he always came to my ride and told me there were cigarette butts in the flower garden at the entrance to my ride, along with chewed up gum, and for me to go pick them up, and supervised as I did. lol I finally learned to check the flower garden at the entrance of my ride to make sure that there was no trash, butts or gum to be found. Every damn time I thought I had it all picked up and every damn time he always found a chewed up piece of gum or a butt in my garden. lol

The drinking age in Kansas back then was 18, in Missouri it was 21. So a bunch of us girls decided to go on a joy ride to Kansas to buy MALT DUCK. There were 6 of us in the car and the girls that were 18 and over bought the malt duck. We were driving around Mission Hills Kansas which is a very rich neighborhood where Lamar Hunt lived, and also George Brett from the KC Royals, who was really hot at the time. We decided to drive by Lamars house and throw our empty glass bottles thru his Rod Iron Fence that surrounded his house. Then preceeded to scream, for him to pick up the trash and the butts that we threw in his yard, like he had us do every day. lol

Of course since we were in the neighborhood we couldn't pass up the chance to drive to George Bretts house, because let's face it, he was the hottest thing in KC at the time, and surprised him by throwing even more bottles in his yard. lol lol

It was all great fun at the time. Lamar used to hold our Christmas Party at Arrowhead Stadium, and boy was it ever fancy. He came up to my table and asked if I would like to dance. He said, octopus lady, would dance this dance with me? How could I refuse, being that he owned the Park and the Chiefs. I felt so out of place dancing with him, but I feel privledged now to have gotten that chance.

Lamar Hunt was such a great person and kind, when he wasn't getting on me about my flower beds. LOLOL

To be honest,I was hoping that the Titans would win today.I think they would be easier to beat.

I'm very happy. That defense better toughen up. 49'rs are beasts. These are pretty equal teams. Who ever has the best game plan. Hope it is the red team. My Bengals fury will be red hot.

The Niners took full advantage of their division win and their home field advantage.

The Chiefs had too much for the Titans, who surprised me with a deep run. I was surprised at KC's run stuffing ability and commitment to running the ball on offense to keep TEN's defense honest. Both will come handy against the Niners.

SF has the pedigree and the toughness on both sides of the ball to win out. They've faced some really good QBs this season, including Russ and Lamar Jackson. But Mahomes is a different guy.

I'm pulling for KC this time because I love Mahomes' game, and I do want to see Reid win a title to validate his career and promote his imprssive coaching tree (and perhaps boost Eric "Public" Bienemy's chances to get a head coaching job OR to succeed him in KC).

It's a fascinating match-up....KC's speed and athleticism on offense vs. SF's speed and athleticism on defense. Plus that Niner D is nasty and PHYSICAL. I think that'll be too much for Mahomes to deal with. Plus I still don't trust Andy Reid in the big game. I still remember his poor time management in SB XXXIX.

It's so refreshing to finally have a SB without the Cheatriots and all the Brady talk.

I like the Giants hiring of Garrett - some cats are better coordinators than head coaches.

Congratulations to the Chiefs. First Super Bowl since probably around the time I

was born. lol Pat Mahomes played a whale of a game.

Thank you San Francisco for beating the brakes off Green Bay again. Hearing about

Aaron Rodgers makes me wanna puke as much as hearing about Tom Shady all the time.

I agree with Uptown it's a great matchup. KC's offense vs SF's defense. I'm riding with SF

mainly because of my guy Deebo Samuel repping the University of South Carolina. He was

an outstanding collegiate player on an average Gamecock team. I'm not surprised at his

success at all. I was hoping he would slip to the 3rd rd so the Steelers could select him but

not too disappointed with Diontae Johnson. I think SF wins because I believe SF offense will

have more success against KC's defense than KC's offense will with the 49ers defense.

Don't laugh at my funk

Let's hear it for Raheem Mostert (the surfer) of the niners!

He'll need some attention from the Chiefs.

Chiefs O-line did a good job against the Titans, but the 49ers are a step up. That'll be the key.

Chiefs have to get off to a better start - can't afford to fall behind by 17 to the 49ers, not with their defense.

Thanks for the memories (and championships), Eli. He would have had three titles (sorry Steeler fans) if that idiot Plaxico didn't shoot himself.

The excitement in KC is so fantastic to see our city pulling together.

A win would be fantastic, but even if we lose, at least we made it!! Chiefs are flying out Sunday.

49rs had a lot of close games. You can beat them. Dirty birds beat them, Rams almost won, Seattle beat them. Atlanta beat them and they suck.

Eli on the numbers is not a Hall of Famer. But there are those minor matters of winning two Lombardis, beating an undefeated team to win the first one, and making one of the greatest throws in the history of the sport to win the second one, and winning both against the greatest QB in pro football history* to win both.

*I'd still take Joe Montana, and I know there were some great QBs prior to the Super Bowl Era, but it's hard to argue against TB12 as the GOAT, and Eli beat him twice.

Don't forget the plays Eli made to get to those SBs.....beating Brett Favre in the snow in 2007, and taking a pounding from Aldon Smith and that 49ers defense in 2011.

Brady may have the rings, but he's not the GOAT IMO....I'll take Johnny Unitas (the father of the modern day QB) and Joe Cool ANYDAY. Defenses weren't neutered back then like they are today.
