Facebook/Chat

Whenever, I'm online people I have messaged and vice versa, show on the Chat thingee (bottom right hand corner), and I don't know how to get rid of it/them or stop it from happening. I have no contacts so, I am perplexed??

Also, I don't want them to know when I am online!!

You can turn the chat off, or go "offline" with it.
