I agree, I wish this happened after they arrived at Alexandria. I wish more of those people lived too.
I enjoyed the little side stories, of where people came from and what they experienced before joining the crew. And I really liked all the personal journey stories after they were scattered furing the Prison war. |

I agree, its starting to feel like a conveyer belt of villains, but I guess the question is how to keep the dramatic tension going without that? Only so many walker herds and low food stocks we can watch the cast deal with.
I think the comic realised it can't keep going so they wrapped it up ... as much as I'm enjoying the show I think it needs to go the same way soon, wrap the story up and give it a good ending. The show isn't far off catching up with the comic now so I guess we'll find out in a season or two if they're going to do that or not.
One thing that has disappointed me this year is the handling of Alpha. In the comics she was something different to what we had before, but in the show she's just another moustache twirling villian a'la The Governor, Negan, etc.

I'm several episodes behind on the new season, which is unusal for me. I don't know. With the exit of so many of the main attractions for me, I just don't care about the show like I used to. I wouldn't be upset it is were to come to a close soon. I actually like "Fear" more now. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I felt the same this season ... a lot less excitement for the start of the new series, like the show had "lost me" a bit. We had the first five episodes stacked up to watch. But when we eventually sat down to watch them last week I enjoyed it and we binged all five in one sitting. Giving Negan more screen time has helped immensely!
