No one is excusing his behavior. Personally I think the guy is a jackass but football players do suffer from CTE as a result of concussions and too many blows to the head as a result of playing football. It's been well documented. Google former Pittsburgh Steeler Mike Webster and he played in the 70's. Don't laugh at my funk

But this isn't about CTE. As far as I know he has NOT been diagnosed with CTE and unless there is a new test out, won't be until he is dead. He was caught red handed with the threatening text message to the 2nd victim.

What is CTE? | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a neurodegenerative disease caused by repeated head injuries. Symptoms may include behavioral problems, mood problems, and problems with thinking. Symptoms typically do not begin until years after the injuries. CTE often gets worse over time and can result in dementia.

Brown suffers from DIVA syndrome

If u have never played football u simply are not qualified 2 talk about CTE.
The fact of the matter is, Brown has never been the same after he got his bell rung (hit directly in the cranium) helmet to helmet in the playoffs a few years ago.
This isn't about excuses. This is about a ballplayer who is going off the rails before our very eyes, and what the various causes could be. FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

Yes, that is right. | |

Because of his EGO. If you are not a DR. Then you are not qualified to talk about CTE....see how stupid that sounds? You are blaming his troubles on CTE. The only way to know if a person has CTE, is after they die and they do testing on the brain. It is not CTE that made him allegedly assault women. You are throwing CTE in the equation as an excuse for his actions.

That has nothing 2 do with his current behavior and his near-complete meltdown as a human being. As it relates 2 CTE, if u have never stepped on a field, I'm not discussing football with u.

We are not discussing football, we already have a thread for that. We are discussing Antonio Brown. If you have never been raped, then I'm not discussing his actions with you. He has NOT been diagnosed with CTE by anybody but you.

Not diagnosed as CTE but suffering effects from absorbing hits to the head. Behavior changes, mood swings which is what some of Junior Seau teammates noticed during the twilight years of his career before he sadly ended his own life. CTE is real. You can't dismiss it even with Brown. Unfortunately we can't post youtube videos the way we used to and I don't know the new way to post it but see the Vontaze Burfict hit on Antonio Brown during a playoff game a few years ago. It was vicious even if unintentional. There are a lot of commenters on there as we speak saying that hit led to the behavior we see from Brown now that we weren't seeing from him before. I wonder if he worked a $12.00 office job would he had appreciated that money that he could have made with the Raiders? Not only DIVA syndrome but appears to be a serious "NUT" case. I bet in a few months or years he'll be one of those cases of athelete squander all his money and either will bee dead broke or close to dead broke! [Edited 9/29/19 21:38pm]

Does any team wants him now? Antonio Brown expected to set off legal battle for $61M in NFL-record filings: reportAntonio Brown, the embattled former receiver, is set to embark on a legal battle to recoup more than $61 million he believes he’s owed from the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots, according to reports on Sunday. He will reportedly file a list of grievances and appeals in an attempt to receive compensation from the two teams after being released following allegations of sexual misconduct and internal conflicts. Brown is also expected to appeal with the NFL in the event that he is suspended from the league. Some of his grievances and appeals include a $9 million signing bonus from the Patriots and $29 million in salary guarantees with the Raiders. Brown is also seeking unpaid salaries and $20 million from the Patriots for an option year in 2020. Brown was let go from the Patriots on Sept. 20 after only 11 days on the team following a civil lawsuit filed in Florida accusing him of rape and sexual assault. The 31-year-old, who was also accused of sexual assault in a separate claim published by Sports Illustrated, was also released from the Raiders a week before he signed with the Patriots. If he follows through with the filings, Brown would be the first player in NFL history to have nine different appeals generated from one season

I do not think he will get much if any. He failed to disclose issues that could embarrass the Pats...so he will likely lose most if not all of that. He asked to be released from the Raiders so he loses there too.

This is going to be interesting... Because if what he did what that chick said he did,,, Why didn't she file that as soon as he had been picked up by the Raiders???
