As a SW fan there is something cool about being able to fly ships from the genre or be a Jedi Knight, playing a character from the movies or novels or fighting one of them.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an upcoming single-player action-adventure video game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, set in the Star Wars universe shortly after Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. It was announced during E3 2018 and a more detailed reveal took place at the Star Wars Celebration in April 2019. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 15, 2019.
Set a few years after Revenge of the Sith, Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis has escaped clone Order 66 and is now on the run from the Galactic Empire. After attempting to salvage a Venator Class Star Destroyer above a Sarlacc Pit, an accident happens in which a nearby Imperial Probe Droid surveys the event in which Cal has to openly use the Force to save one of his friends from falling into the pit. The droid transmits the footage to the Empire causing Cal's true identity to be revealed to the imperials. The Empire dispatches the Second Sister, an inquisitor trained by Darth Vader, to hunt down the Padawan and eradicate the remaining Jedi Knights.
Taking place after Order 66, which started the galaxy-wide purge of the Jedi Order, players take control of Padawan Cal Kestis (portrayed by Cameron Monaghan), one of the last surviving Jedi as he attempts to survive while being chased by the Galactic Empire and the Second Sister Inquisitor. Throughout his journey, young Cal will visit familiar worlds with the assistance of the rebel extremist Saw Gerrera (portrayed by Forest Whitaker) and his mentor Cere (portrayed by Debra Wilson).[3] During the game, players will meet iconic Star Wars characters such as Saw Gerrera and the Second Sister inquisitor and visit worlds such as Kashyyyk. There are also new worlds and characters for players to explore and meet.

I actually bought the first one purely for the VR mission. I've never once played the actual game. I'm not into shooting games to be honest. But give me a spaceship in VR and I'm happy. I was very disappointed that they didn't put in a full VR mode into Battlefront 2.

Yeah, the first game has a special VR mission which kind of segues into Rogue One. I was hoping that the Battlefront 2 would have more of those kinds of missions. But EA being EA, it had none. No VR stuff at all. The best thing about the first game is completely absent from the sequel.
