i watched this movie last night for the first time... i'm absolutely blown away at how talented Bjork is (i'm a bit slow...i know) ...her acting was superb... i think this is a fantastic, powerful movie... if you haven't seen it... do yourself a favour... SEE THIS MOVIE

i've only recently started getting into this lady... she really is something special

i posted this in GD forum as it's not really about Bjork's music... although the music she wrote for the movie is great

Bjork is my favorite artist other than Prince. And she blows all other musicians away in the acting dept.

When my brother and I went to see this at the theatre, we couldn't stop crying. It fucked me up for days after. The 'Next To Last Song' scene might be the most haunting image I've ever seen in a movie.

I read a review at the time that said that Bjork should be made a saint after her work in this film.

I couldn't agree more.

It's the kind of movie that stays with you and lingers... very emotional and intense...

She is beyond special!

I loved this movie despite me sobbing whilst watching it,as that prison officer takes Selma out of her cell and her legs wont work and she starts to sing.

The ending just took my breath away,it was almost too much

The soundtrack is so powerful and moving

This film is the most moving film ever made. Whenever I watch it, I get so distraught that I can't handle people talking or even light. I have to wallow in darkness for awhile. It is the tragedy of tragedies and Bjork delivers so brilliantly.

I'm not the emotional and crying type when I watch sad movies, but I have to say that this movie actually strung a small tear into one of my eyes.

Tragic tragic movie... more documentary style than anything else. Björk is wonderful in it. She said she will never make another movie because filming DITD was so traumatizing and draining. I can see why.

She doesn't have the same confidence in conversation that she used to. There's a sadness in her voice now. I feel like it fucked with her reality a bit too much to take on such a serious role. I loved her in Space Ghost, though. That is one of my favorite episodes. Next to the one with Willie Nelson/the shark.

I love this film. Brilliant, dark, very moving.

This is a movie you should see only with someone you care deeply for ~ it is not a casual viewing experience at all. Bjork is absolutely brilliant in it but I agree Tron ~ it changed her ~ took away some of her impulsiveness and free spirit. She seems a bit more introverted and contemplative since. But then brought us the amazing Vespertine so fortunately the creative process remains and has reached even deeper levels. The movie, director and Bjork all earned the many awards recieved. I could not even make the drive home for an hour after seeing it I was so broken. Can you imagine playing this part over a period of months?

When I saw it in the theatre when it first came out it was all I could do not to sob out loud. When we left the theatre my legs were all shaky and it was difficult to walk. We stopped at a record store on the way to the car to pick up the soundtrack and when my friend saw the cover he started crying again. Whenever I need a good cry, I watch the movie.
