Mine are orchids of any kind. I think they are so unique looking.

I like Lilacs too. They don't grow well in the Bay...I think they like cold winters.

I love them. When I was growing up there was a huge lilac bush outside my bedroom, every spring with the windows open the fragrance would just drift thru the house. I planted one outside of my daughters bedroom window and it was huge, then my son-in-law decided to cut it back....unfortunately he ended up killing my 25 year old bush.

The same son-in-law also cut down my rose of sharon bush that someone gave me a start off of her grandmothers plant.

I told him to stop cutting my plants and start cutting the weeds.

I envy you having a lilac bush outside your window but cutting it back and 'killing' it...argh!

The fuck all y'all flower. It's a useful plant in certain circumstances and good to have around at all times, in case the need arises. It self-seeds and it's no fuss at all. It shows up in the spring and if you leave a few of the seedlings, round about August, here's what you get. And, oh, of course, oceans of violets.

The Elephant Head Amaranth - Amaranthus gangeticus (amaranth meaning 'everlasting' in Greek) was brought to the USA from Germany in the 1800’s and got its name because of the huge flower heads resembling an elephant’s trunk. It's not my garden. I snagged the photos off the internet. My tomatoes aren't quite ready yet and the amaranth hasn't flowered, either. Can hardly wait though.

I all flowers.

I especially love impatiens in my flower garden.

They bloom all summer.

White peonies. I love all peonies, but it seems like nature puts her efforts into either color or fragrance with them - you can't have both. The white ones aren't as showy as some of the pinks, but their scent is what I imagine heaven smells like.
