I'm 34 and still love the county fair rides. Especially the Ring of Fire.

I'm almost twice your age sonny boy, andI still enjoy the Ring of Fire. It is not going upside down that gives me a thrill here, but when they stop it while your upside down and I always feel that the pressure on the protection bar might give out and death just might occur. Then, I remind myself while thinking this that surely that this doesn't happen as much as it feels like it would, and breath an upside down sigh of relief lol .

LOL love it, does your son justify you going?

Yes! I used to try to get my sister or a friend to go with me and no one wanted to!! Now, I don't have to beg. Lol!! I love going to the zoo too! I love animals...except birds, their beaks scare me.

A coworker of mine has never been to a local amusement park. Which means his two kids have never been. He's not originally from here. So me and another guy decided all 3 of us are going to go next weekened around 8pm right before it starts to get dark

I will never do the Slingshot, ever. That raises my anxiety to levels of why I understand why grown assed rusty muscular men scream and pass out LOL

But they are so fun to watch. Especially the night time ones

I do, however, I have some medical issues that make riding them something I can not do.

King's Island: Ohio theme park unveils Orion, a 'giga coaster' with a 300-foot drop

a bridge over a river

King's Island amusement park in Ohio will unveil its latest ride, Orion, next spring -- featuring a 300-foot drop.

That qualifies it as a "giga" roller coaster, one of just seven in the world with a drop between 300 and 399 feet, according to King's Island.

After that initial drop, the ride features seven more hills, speeds as high as 91 mph, and more than a mile of track.

Orion will be the park's tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster, lasting three minutes.

King's Island, which says it's the largest amusement and water park in the Midwest, is also home to the longest wooden roller coaster in the world, The Beast. And until Orion opens, visitors can still ride the Diamondback, which stands at 230 feet tall with a 215-foot first drop.

Both King Island and their northern Ohio option Cedar Point are the best two parks for rollercoasters that I know of. Cedar Point especially has a track record of breaking records with their new coasters.
