Music set ups

Not sure if this is best forum to ask so mods please move if not

With all the changes in formats what are people using

I grew up with vinyl and cassettes and vinyl is still my favourite sound (although not most convenient)

I have iPods, music on my phone and Spotify (plus tidal trial)
I also have a hi res player for connecting to Hifi (and subwoofer) so I can play FLAC or Lossless files through my amp and this maybe the way forward

What set up do you have or suggest - thanks folks

I listened mostly to LPs until 1989 and ever since CDs have been my favourite choice
I also bought many hi-fi remasters (SACD, DVD-Audio and now Blu-ray Audio) and listen to them in a 5.1 setup

I have all top of the line late 80's Technics components, and some more recent Panasonic components for newer connections.

I stream my music mostly through my bluetooth speakers Bose Soundlink Color, Echo Plus,

or my stereo just by using a line jack. I play CD's from time to time on my Bose Wave or in

my car. It's rare I listen to vinyl now but I get that itch every once in a blue moon.

Mobile:

iPhone (weekdays and for bluetooth connection with car)

iPod (weekends and trips)

Home:

Vinyl - Audio-Technica w/USB capability, Sony receiver (2014), Sony speakers (1997)

iPod/iPhone with soundbar (main room) and portable bluetooth speaker (room to room)

iMac (while working)

Vinyl is once again my preferred method of listening. Otherwise I'm pretty flexible.

My current set up is pragmatic as I don't have as much space as I used to.

What I use at the moment:
My Windows PC has a pair of studio quality monitor speakers which are ideal for me. I keep my MP3s catalogued with iTunes (although I never buy from the iStore as I hate DRM) and are mostly ripped from their original CDs at 256-320bit rate. Recently I have taken to buying MP3s directly from Amazon.

I did have a decent hi-fi set up until a couple of years back, unfortunately I've had to put most of my CD collection into storage.

On the go:
I tried to buy an iPod recently, unfortunately the classic model seems to be pretty much extinct. As a result I resorted to sticking an SD card into my Samsung phone and paired it with some bluetooth earphones.
