Unidentified flying objects, yes. Aliens from another planet no. Sasquatch no, too many other creatures have gone completely extinct because they couldn't breed enough it's damned near impossible for any species to interbreed and maintain longevity they need large numbers to last.

So who do you think in flying the UFOs ?? hmmm

an unidentified flying object is just that, unidentified! What’s not to believe in?

You’re adding something by begging the question, WHO do you think is flying it?
Some unidentified flying objects may be birds or even the planet Venus.
Some maybe flown or are satellites or military aircraft so again, what’s not to believe in?

If what you meant to say was flying saucers or other shaped craft piloted by interplanetary tourists then that’s a different question as they are no longer unidentified now that we’ve designated what they are.

And if that’s the question, I’m fairly comfortable in assuming that they probably exist in the universe but have no good reason to believe that they’ve been here.

As for Sasquatch, nah.

Actually, I'm wondering who hasn't seen a ufo at least once in their lives, if they live long enough. I saw one when I was a little kid, which had no logical explanation for it. Other people saw it, too.

Are you sure? Why do you say this?

I do not believe there has ever been any evidence of such. (same with ghosts or anything supernatural)

Also, they would be subject to the same physics that we are. So even a greatly advanced civilization would have a hard time even detecting us much less getting here.

And if they could I am not sure they would be all that interested in us.

I get it many people see something like a flock of birds or some weird lighting or some other things that they thought were space ships. But I believe all of them were just a mistake.

Social scientists have demonstrated through studies since the 1960s that there was significant reason to be concerned about the accuracy of the eyewitness-identification testimony used in criminal trials. Although witnesses can often be very confident that their memory is accurate when identifying a suspect, the malleable nature of human memory and visual perception makes eyewitness testimony one of the most unreliable forms of evidence.

Technically, all "UFO" stands for is "unidentified flying object." Doesn't have to mean alien space ships. Never heard of anyone mistaking a flock of birds for a "UFO." lol

in this situation in the context used the term UFO sugests a space ship from another planet and not some other natural phenomonobn or some earth based object.

I belive that birds are a very often mistaken for a flying object.

Ad1: debatable, but i give this one to you.
Ad2: very not necessairily. They could be subject to a totally different kind of physics.

Ad3: contradition. If they would not be interested in us, the only reason for that would be that they know many other species already, which contradicts your initial point of believe.

Ad4: not all of them can be explained.

Remember we were asked what we believe... so there is no standard of proof or arguably.

1) Sweet

2) yeah I do not believe many top minds in the field would agree with that...maybe the better response would be "but if they are advanced maybe they worked around them..."

3) not a contradiction: it was a IF... IF they could see US and others too and if they could get to us or them... I would think they would pick a more advanced place....

4) well not one has ever been proved. and many have been disproven.

Senators receive classified briefing on UFO sightings

Updated 4:14 PM ET, Thu June 20, 2019

Washington (CNN)A group of US senators, including the vice chair of the Senate Intelligence committee, received a classified briefing Wednesday about a series of reported encounters by the US Navy with unidentified aircraft, according to a congressional aide.

"If pilots at Oceana or elsewhere are reporting flight hazards that interfere with training or put them at risk, then Senator Warner wants answers. It doesn't matter if it's weather balloons, little green men, or something else entirely — we can't ask our pilots to put their lives at risk unnecessarily," Rachel Cohen, the spokeswoman for Democratic Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, told CNN.
Joseph Gradisher, spokesman for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare, also confirmed the briefing took place in a statement to CNN on Thursday.
"Navy officials did indeed meet with interested congressional members and staffers on Wednesday to provide a classified brief on efforts to understand and identify these threats to the safety and security of our aviators," he said. (Continued at https://www.cnn.com/2019/...ndex.html)

UFO? Yes because my mother and I saw one.

What type of UFO was it? And where did you see it?

Sorry for the delayed response Kool. smile

We saw UFO summer of 1978: My mother and I where outside sprucing up my grandparents yard. The sun had just sat and I was staring up at this object in the sky: I didn't say anything when my mother said what are looking at. We saw saucer with windows... to plates for the top and bottom with, sorta frosted glass inside the middle all around. I'd say from the time I saw it, from the time my mother looked up, about 2 minutes. When my mother ran into the house to get a camera, it just disappeared. No noise it just hovered and then nothing. We saw what we saw and we knew it wasn't from this earth.

Washington, Montana, Vermont top new list for most UFO sightings

Washington, Montana and Vermont are at the top of a new list for having the most UFO sightings in the U.S.

Compiling data from the National UFO Reporting Center and the U.S. Census, Satellite Internet issued a report looking at how many sightings there were per 100,000 people, as well as the overall rankings of where people are most likely to spot a UFO.

Washington state tops the list with 5,894 sightings, good for an average of 78.22 per 100,000 people. Far behind in second place is Montana, with 823 reported sightings. Given the state's significantly smaller population, its average of 77.47 sightings per 100,000 people is just a tick behind Washington. Vermont, Alaska and Maine round out the top 5 with 482 (76.96), 560 (75.94) and 940 (70.23), respectively.

The report notes it "includes UFO incident reports from Navy pilots and former Pentagon intelligence officers and the release of classified UFO research from the NSA. All of this activity means that for the first time in years, UFO reports are being taken seriously by the media."

Perhaps not surprisingly, given the geographical size of these states, Alabama, Missippi, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas make up the bottom of the list. Although Texas is the second most populated state in the country, behind California (which ranks 21st on the list at an average of 34.28 sightings per 100,000), there were only an average of 17.31reported sightings per 100,000 people.

In total reported UFO sightings, Texas is fourth on the list, behind California (13,559), Alabama (10,882) and Washington.

The report adds that UFO sightings are "most frequent" during the warmer months, though it was not sure of the reasoning behind that trend. The report's author suggested it may be because more people are outside in good weather or jokingly suggested: "aliens go on summer vacations with their kids too."

In 2018, another report, using different methodology, said that Wyoming and Vermont offered the best odds of seeing a UFO, at 205-to-1 and 250-to-1, respectively.

I don't know, i think both are possible. the indians have all kinds of mythical creatures that might have some sort of element of real to them. we don't understand everything, maybe they are from a different plane, i've known several people who have claimed to have met big feets, my tribal members have, one just told me that they were "our people" who were outcasted for whatever reason from the tribe and this same guy told me he used to play with them as a child. There's more to reality than we can understand, what do we know? we spend most of our time around concrete, building, electricity, we've lost any sense of anything else. We're pretty coddled and naive about a lot of things.
