Gloria Vanderbilt, a famous model and socialite whom was the daughter of Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt and Gloria Mercedes.

The Gloria Vanderbilt collections have included clothing, jewelry, perfumes, shoes, leather goods, sheets, paper goods and home furnishings.

The company trademark was taken from her first professional stage play, "The Swan."who was often a subject of fascination in the worlds of fashion and media, has died at 95 according to a report on CNN, where her son , anchor Anderson Cooper, has worked for several years.

Earlier this month, doctors discovered “very advanced cancer” in Vanderbilt’s stomach, her son Anderson Cooper said in a video that aired Monday morning on CNN.

I LOVED Anderson's tribute to his mother it was VERY short but sweet & interesting that they both shared the same unique giggle.

What an amazing life she lived. She's unshy about her romances, which is really balking in the face of slut shaming; an ideology I love. Fuck what people say - live your damn life. And she did just that.
