For the record I think the OP stated the five movies you've watched the most period.

He didn't ask for catogories or certain years.

Most of us are over 40. It makes sense that the movies watched the most in our whole lifetime are oldies, they have an advantage because they came first. If the thread had been about "the 5 movies you've watched the most times in the course of the last 10 years", the titles would probably be different nod

I've seen this one quite a bit, but I've never seen the 1st one.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

There was a time when this was one of my top five favorite films--back when I was very much into melodramatic period pieces. Cate Blanchett's Elizabeth also.

there's just something about it's atmosphere that i adore. i've read dumas' book a few times too,
and the movie captures that whole spirit so well.

elizabeth is another great movie. in many ways way way better than 'margot', althoug i shouldn't
compare them, really.

in fact, i think i'll watch elizabeth again over the weekend. nice thumbs up! cool

Apocalypto, huh? Interesting choice. That bluray is dust a-collecting on my shelf...maybe I should give it a spin.

i've been collecting dust as well, hence it's been a long time smile

and about apocalypto; it's a great atmosphere piece. yet it's not a great movie. if that makes sense?

i watch it often for the feeling the jungle and the uncompromising nature of it give me smile

though half of it is probably filmed somewhere on a soundstage, like paisley park lol
