On purpose? Like, not counting the 10,000 times that TBS has shown "The Rock"? OK!

1. Animal House - of course
2. Caddyshack
3. Stripes
4. Purple Rain
5. This is Spinal Tap (tie)
5. On Any Sunday (tie)

I've never seen any of these other than Purple Rain. But if I pick 5 music based movies that I've seen the most, it's probably these:

The Wiz
Help! (Beatles)
Wattstax
The Green Pastures (1936)
Moonwalker

I've seen a lot of Elvis Presley movies, if that counts. Some of them are similar, so it's kinda like watching the same movie. razz Like there's 3 or 4 movies where he's a race car driver and they're not sequels either.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Oh, I absolutely love those.

I was probably thinking of more boring but wellknown movies such as True Lies.

But, now that I think about it, he´s probably made more movies that I like than dislike.

Come to think of it, I guess the ones I don´t like are probably just six or seven, compared to maybe nine or ten that I really like.

I don´t know.....at some point he just got on my nerves but he´s made some really enjoyable movies and the older he gets, the more I like him. It´s just the early to mid 90s or even 00s that I dislike.

Running Man and Total Recall were pretty good.

Commando was good.

Predator was great.

But his comedies sucked big time, and I never got into True Lies.

I love True Lies. He has some great one liners in that movie but it's Bill Paxton who really steals the show.

It always cracks me up when he breaks down and say "I'm navel lint", that guy was hilarious.

- Halloween (every October 31st without fail)
- Ghostbusters (had it on double feature VHS with part 2 and nearly wore out the tape as a kid)
- Scream (soooo in love with Neve Campbell)
- Aliens (my fave film of all time)
- Die Hard (my go to Christmas movie)

Few others come close, like Friday the 13th (1980), Beverly Hills Cop, Predator, the original Star Wars trilogy, some of the Bond films, Dark Knight trilogy. Schwarzenegger was my hero growing up so his eighties output could probably have its own top five!

1. Star Wars (original trilogy)

2. Scarface

3. Sister Act

4. Little Shop of Horrors

5. Groundhog Day

This was a toughie. I've spent a few days thinking on it. I've not included the kids films my kids insist on watching over and over and over and over, and in turn that I've watched over and over and over and, well, you get the gist. The Blues Brothers deserved some thought and maybe should have inched in, but this is what I think I'm settled on.

King Kong (1976)

The Exorcist

Star Wars (1977)

Animal House

The Shining

But you know... I really don't know if these are the 5 I've watched the most. I actually forgot to include Close Encounters of the Third Kind. But definitely my repeat viewing movies date back to what I loved as a child.

I've probably seen Conan the Barbarian, Poltergeist, The Howling, An American Werewolf in London, Excalibur, Deliverance, E.T., Star Trek 1, Star Trek 2, The Color Purple, just as many times as well.

I see Grease on here listed a lot, and though i missed it in the theater.... yes I have seen that a lot.

But also... I've probably seen Citizen Kane a lot too. It's such a good stylized flow of sound and images.

Yup me too. I always take off Halloween and at 6pm I watch Halloween. Once that movie ends I put on Halloween 2. Then if I'm not to tired I watch Friday the 13th.

Not a single Arnold Schwarzenegger movie on your list? Come on! wink

Personally, I never really liked him during his heyday but I love, love, love Conan the Barbarian and Terminator pt.I

I´m probably also the only person on earth who doesn´t mind Conan part II (The Destroyer).

But other than that I never really liked his big blockbuster movies.

haha, well I love Predator and the first two Termiantor movies, and have seen them a lot of course

never cared for Conan though boxed

I arely watch movies more than once or twice, but here are the exceptions.None would make my favorite 100 movies.

Wizard of Oz ( an annual event in my childhood home)

Love Story (God I want to change my name after this admission but love means never having to say your sorry - Ohhh, the idiocy)

Deep Throat ( aka Love Story II) - This is starting to feel like a confessional. My first porn movie and I just couldn't believe what they showed, so I had to check it out some more!

A Clockwork Orange - as a teen, I kept getting my friends stoned and taking them to see the midnight show of this and watch them freak out.

Sound of Music - Cleanses my soul after watching #3 and #4

Looking at my list, I think therapy is in order lol !!!!

Not sure because I stopped counting long ago but I used to re-watch movies more when I was a teenager so early favorite movies would be more than my favorites from the last 20 years.

I remember that I went to watch Arizona Dream 17 times in the theater in 1992 (!) + the video rewatches since, so that may be the winner.

Then, from the old days:

The original Star Wars Trilogy

Graffiti Bridge and Under The Cherry Moon

Where The Heart Is (1990)

Pump Up The Volume (1990)

High Spirits (1988)

I probably watched all of those over 20 times each altogether, but mostly prior to 1995.

Post-1995 favorites, probably more 5 to 10 times each, and there are many of those, but that's off-topic nod.

Have you read the book East of Eden? It's beautifully written. Such a good story too. The characters and their flaws are so well documented. One of my favs.

By views alone it's PROBABLY: CITY LIGHTS A BUCKET OF BLOOD AFTER HOURS DAWN OF THE DEAD BILL & TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY/DISCO GODFATHER ....cause I've lost count on those last two. TAPEHEADS fell out of rotation once i relocated so, i guess maybe I'm not as chipper as i used to be This list IS counting STAR WARS..... They're all pretty horrible if you think about it. Save 4,5,6... last one was funny -ish but almost a riff on fans. A turd in their direction. TFA being the absolute nadir

Dawn of the Dead remake or original?

And if you say original.....how did you like the remake?

The original from 1978, OF COURSE!

The remake wasn't bad, but it was very ordinary good.... As in, it was passable but not as stupid as mist modern US horror.

Had it not had the cameos it'd have been lower rated honestly.
Watched it once like the last two "Star Wars" but those.... Because they were #1 crap, #2 a good film but absolutely NOT a star wars flick.

As for ANY SUNDAY or whatever its called, nope. Haven't seen it.

Assumed you meany ANY GIVEN SUNDAY because the other one would be rare. Considering the responses so far they're all mainstream.

No cult Fabe's or oddities but that one. I'll look it up.

Used to have a great site for obscure flicks... Now they essentially require a subscription
