Legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr died Sunday at the age of 85, according to the team.

The Packers announced Starr, a catalyst of Vince Lombardi's powerhouse teams of the 1960s, died in Birmingham, Ala., citing his family.

RIP to one of the all-time greats.

We keep losing our legends....several weeks ago the great John Havlicek, and now Starr.

Not a big Packers fan here in northern Illinois (though there are quite a few Packers fans in the area), but he was a truye legend. I last remember seeing him on Thanksgiving night in 2015 at Brett Favre's number retirement and into the Packers Ring of Fame.

Like Johnny Unitas, Starr set the standard for the modern-era QB.
