I do enjoy the outdoors and who doesn't love marshmallows over the fire, but give me a hotel room anyday!

I don't camp any more but I saw a blurb on the elevator screen that said more than 50% of Americans went camping last year. Wow! I had no idea it was that much.

The blurb said Millenials camp more than anyone. I have two Millenials. One hikes and camps all the time; the other quit camping when he was 10.

Love it. But the closest I got to it recently was visiting my brother's camp site near my Dad's place. My brother had bought a Casita camper and I loved it. He was on a lake in a national park and it was so beautiful that I didn't want to leave...

Used to go camping all the time when we were growing up. Fishing in the lake and the river, running lines in the boat, fish fry, beer, was a great time. Going to the bathroom in the woods and taking a bar of soap to the river to bathe is not now my idea of fun.

However, we do still camp out at least twice a year. My family participates in BBQ competitions and we participate in the American Royal BBQ competition but we have campers now and not tents, and they have Johnny on the Spots, which to me are worse then the woods.
