The custom in Israel has started to impound imported gay videos, and only allow the straight videos in.
Their excuse was "we do not allow in videos of sexual acts that are not as nature intended"

from the article: "If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual (gay) sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything," Santorum, R-Pa., said in the interview, published Monday.
Santorum spokeswoman Erica Clayton Wright said the lawmaker's comments were "were specific to the Supreme Court case." Hey, he's got a point. This is not an anti-gay statement. Think about it: if you're a man, and it's legal to have sex with another man, why stop there? If the government says you can do a guy, why can't you do your German Shepherd? Why can't you be married to 15 women? Why not be able to do your sister or brother, providing you're both of consensual age? Seriously, this is not an anti-gay statement. If you can be gay, why not a bigamist? If you want your brand of sex to be legal, you gotta legalize it all.

why is that always the next step? why do people immediatly say "homosexuality? next will be bestiality?"
ugh... there is a tremendous difference between two consenting adults in a love with one another and a human and an animal. it's so incredibly ridiculous not to mention incredibly insulting to even equate the two. Incest is illegal because a child could result from a heterosexual incestuous affair, which generally suffers from health problems and mental retardation, so it is an act of protection. the argument in the texas supreme court sodomy case he was referring to in the quotes, is that "these laws exist as a health concern to stop the spread of the HIV virus" (paraphrased), so why aren't they outlawing all sex of any kind? I am from Pa ... and I am a republican ... (not a huge Bush supporter he he ) ... i personally think Santorum is a nerd/loony ... he will say something more like this ... and get his ass kicked out like Lott ...
while i am not gay , i dont really have anything against homosexuality and actually think that homophobes just create more hatred and thus 1+ 1+ 1 = 3 ... on the other hand ... by saying "i hate living on earth with people like this" is probably not the way to best way to deal with it ... why not create an effective argument and work towards Santorums defeat or removal ... it probably aint too far away ...

Because it's about the freedom to fuck whatever you want. Not long ago, most people thought homosexuality was disgusting, and now it's a part of society, so you never know about bestiality. And as a guy, you could have a gay affair with your cousin or something...wouldn't that be legal incest? This is just devil's advocate playing. Plus, in the larger scope of things, bigamy is adultery, so he's being a little redundant. However, what Santorum probably has a problem with is the old "sex outside of marriage." If that's the case, what he should have said is that there's no difference between being a homosexual and having sex outside of marriage. Both increase the risk of spreading HIV, and (assuming this guy has religious motivations) neither is exactly endorsed in the bible. And really, if you're not married, what's the difference?

I understand, but it's the same if the bottom line is freedom of your dick. If they ban gay sex, they gotta ban masturbation. Imagine if the Catholic church had their way. No ejaculation without the possibility of procreation. Scary. What if the Mormons had control - no sex with your eighteen wives without fashionable Mormon underpants. Double scary. The bottom line is that Santorum obviously has an idea of the only acceptable kind of sex, and his point was that all other sex is bad. His statement seems fair - if you allow gay sex, you have to allow it all. Please understand that I'm not telling you that this is what I think, but my interpretation of the article. Sorry, I meant "if they allow gay sex, they've gotta allow masturbation, et al." I think the root of going after homosexuals if personal insecurity, not necessarily because one is closeted or even a homophobe, but because finger-pointing at others makes people feel good about themselves. Please don't take the "finger" comment in a gay way. I've said my peace and I'm out. Fo sheazy. [This message was edited Tue Apr 22 11:25:59 PDT 2003 by tommyalma]

well here's one way to look at it...
if not for people like this guy it would be easily for the gay community to let down there guard and buy into the idea that we're living in a new Will & Grace world. i think every now and then some fool like this must come along and stir things up. while the gay community has come a long way in terms of acceptance into popular culture... there is still a very active and more accepted community of haters that have the power to make and pass laws against the gays. i don't agree with the guy at all. i think it's an ignorant statement to say that what 2 guys do in private is the same as fucking your pets or your brothers and sisters. that's just dumb.

Oh, and it's total bullshit to compare someone who is against homosexuality to racists and slave owners. You can't be a closet Black (unless you're Michael Jackson).
