Burger King's Vegan Burger. The Impossible Burger I'll try it. I like the the fast food (mostly) vegan place they have here, its just out of the way but its always packed when i go. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I had the Carl's Jr. version. It was not very good and not at all like meat.

I didn't know Carls Jr had one. I remember them having a turkey burger. I guess I need to pay closer attention to burger places. Must be a growing trend. Hadn't expected it to happen so soon. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

They must have changed their formula. My question is why a vegan one cost more than a meat one would seem meat or whatever it is cost more to produce. I am glad, hopefully during the lapsed time since the last Veggie burger there are more people willing to order it regularly. That, and only that, will keep it around longer. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

I wonder what this tastes like. Vegan burgers have come a long way since the first time I tried one. ALDI had some really great vegan or vegetarian burgers 20 years ago but due to lack of demand they stopped selling them, and these days their new vegan burgers taste nothing like those from the 90s. I also liked Morning Star´s vegetarian burgers in the late 90s. Hopefully this burger becomes a success so that Burger King can market it on a worldwide level.

Burger King can be trusted to provide healthy options...

I don´t think that "healthy" is their driving motivation behind it. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I would try it but I would not go out of my way to get it or pay very much more that whatever the cow one was... But then I would eat pretty much any meat as long as it was not too costly.

I hate this post. Cheap meat = poor animal welfare. Pay more and at the very least try to give the animals a decent life. Even better still, give up eating them altogether.

I think more and more people are feeling a certain kind of way about meat. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

This really has the potential to be a (very welcome) REVOLUTION. God Bless whoever it is for even trying to do this.

Yuck. I make it a rule not to eat fast food anyway but if I'm going to go into Burger King, I'm going in for the biggest, greasiest, meatiest burger they have. In fact, if they just bring me a live cow, I can eat what I want and then ride the rest home.

i never said cheap! I said I would not pay MORE for something just because. It is like the false argument that we should ban giving chickens hormones to make them grow faster...because so called "Organic" is not "that much" more expensive...but it would be if the practice was banned. If i remember correctly, they use an ingredient of blood to give it the 'meat' taste. So, in how far is this vegeterian or vegan after all? Anyway, I buy me perhaps 3 times a year a little cheeseburger in a fast-food chain, nothing more. My own cooking is far better

It can't be vegan if animal blood is added. per Peta's site. Looks like the "trend " is massive. Burger Kings burger hasn't made the list yet but i am surprised how much is out there. https://www.peta.org/livi...ain-restau I posted something years ago about lab grown meat it was way too expensive to market but they're still at it. I will be first in line with this new burger. I LOVE trying new Vegan products. I tried the Del Taco beyond tacos the other day it didn't really catch my attention. [Edited 5/6/19 14:10pm] I second that. I don't think there's an animal alive today that I wouldn't eat tomorrow just so long as it's cooked right. And I include humans in that.
