Yes that's true. And in the end, nothings really changed at all.

Greyworm and his men were leaving for good anyway and what's the point of the wall anyway with the WW gone and a big gigantic hole in it. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I just sing along with the phrase "This is the game of thrones theme song" and it works pretty well. . That ending tho if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

That ending tho At the close it sounded like it was singing, maybe in non-English or maybe just vocalization, i couldn't tell. I think it would've been cool to close with lyrics since that's been a running joke. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Jon was too in love so much so he's willing to turn a blind eye to some really crappy behavior so it felt forced, he turned away from kissing her the previous episode he was working it out in his mind now with the utter destruction of his homeland he's now all turned on by her, yeah no. A lot tells me there's a ton of backstory missing and a lot of years must have passed, the intensity of emotions were just too over the top to be real in such a short period of time. The deaths too soap opera-ish everybody dying in their beloved's arms. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I want RR chained to a desk in a locked room with no internet access. Focus dude focus, of course we'd end up with 5 more books because he can't let it go. I'm debating how much deeper i care to go into this world. Am I up for the prequels? Time keeps on slipping into the future...

He walked in knowing he may have to kill her, he was prepared for that emotionally, and what better way to kill her and have her feel no fear? He was the Good Guy so they won’t be having him look sinister by dragging out this death. But in that instant I got tunnel vision and knew there was the possibility that she kills him. I thought the Mountain/Hound battle was a waste of time.

I thought the Mountain/Hound battle was a waste of time. The Hound and The Mountain confrontation had to be, there was no way around that, it was built up that way at the very beginning. We know Jon had to kill Dany, but given the crunch of everything trying to equate his unconditional love for her as similar to Jaime's unconditional love for Cersei didn't roll except in a harlequin romance novel kind of way which kind of felt deflating given the depth of their character build up over the years yet what else could they do i guess it had to end and there was no more time left to explain anything. For 7 seasons, one the greatest shows ever on TV. I expected a decent ending to an excellent show. Consider my expectations successfully subverted. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

I was okay with the ending. Jon ends up in a place where he is worshipped and now only needs to confront his own personal issues about what he has done. Everything else seems apt to have happened. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I guess I disagree with the herd again. I liked the ending. I liked the whole final season, in fact. Some of it felt rushed and I feel it could have done with an extra couple of episodes to expand on the storytelling a bit. The writers made some decisions I didn't agree with but then again, that's been the case throughout the show. I felt that each character got a fitting ending. Dany has been slowly descending into madness for a while now so her turn wasn't a big surprise. So she was always going to die. Jon Snow had to be the one to kill her. It was almost Shakespearean. Speaking of Jon, him getting sent to the wall is not such a bad punishment for him. He thrived there before and now there are no white walkers plus he's on good terms with the wildlings. As much as I hate Sansa, I think her ending was fitting too. Bran ending up as King is the logical conclusion, given his abilities. Every other character has proven themselves to be unfit to rule. Dany was a mad bitch (and dead), Jon actively didn't want it and Sansa would have been Cersei 2.0. There were no other realistic candidates. But Tyrion made a good case for Bran. Who better to rule than an incorruptible guy with super powers? Plus, they've left the door open to many spin offs. Arya The Pirate, Jon Snow and the Nights Watch, Sansa: Bitch of The North. They could even have one where a young kid finds the dragon and, despite them not getting on at first, they eventually become best friends and go on all sorts of adventures together. OK, that last one was a joke, but aside from the prequels, there will definitely be more GOT in future. My money is on a show called The Nights Watch starring Jon Snow. Overall, a good show for what it was. It was never in the same category as The Sopranos, Deadwood or The Wire. But as far as "second-tier HBO", it was one of the best. Second only to Westworld.

I love the first 7 season so much, and hate the last even more. Every one of the last six episodes was worse than the last. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

TOMATOMETER 48% Critic Consensus: If nothing else, "The Iron Throne" is a bittersweet -- if unfortunately bland -- series finale that ensures Game of Thrones fans will linger on the fate of their favorite characters for some time. Will they ever be satisfied by the show's conclusions? Ask us again in 10 years. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I've only seen one episode of this show and it was the last one. My takeaway was that the dragon scooped up that chick who got shish-ka-bobbed and took her to some place that has magic, where she will get un-shish-ka-bobbed, made alive again, and return with her dragon to get her revenge.

For me that was the most annoying thing. The story was left with so many open ended possibilities. Honestly I have no desire to get involved in somebody else's vision for this universe, I enjoyed the ride for what it was worth now I'm ready to move on and see something else.
