Well, if they make the expedition, I won't be too worried about them. There a town or 2 in Antarctica, so obviously it's survivable for people who are prepared.

I know. This is what I don't understand. Round is one demensional verses spherical. I guess I need to go on the internet and find out what they exactly believe.

I was "Bill Bluntwell" my senior year. As is tradition, I picked one lucky pledge who got "Bill Bluntwell's" signature in their Interview Book, but they were sworn to secrecy not to tell any other pledge where they found the mysterious Mr. Bluntwell.

Well, that didn't take long! Here was my post. The thread got locked; I've either been suspended or deleted from the site; and to top it all off, the FAQ mentions NOTHING about the question I asked! All it talks about is how Flat Earthers discount photographs of a round Earth:

Here's what the FAQ says regarding photographs:

There are many pictures on the Internet and in other media depicting the Earth as being round. Why do these not disprove the Flat Earth Theory?

In general, we at the Flat Earth Society do not lend much credibility to photographic evidence. It is too easily manipulated and altered. Many of the videos posted here to "prove a round earth" by showing curvature will show no curvature or even concave curvature at parts. The sources are so inaccurate it's difficult to build an argument on them in either case. Furthermore, barrel distortion and other quirks of modern cameras will cause a picture to distort in ways which may not be immediately obvious or apparent, especially without references within the picture. Photographs are also prone to distortion when taken through the bent glass of a pressurized cabin as well as atmospheric conditions on the outside. With this litany of problems, it's easy to see why photographic evidence is not to be trusted.

It's also worth noting that if a person were to look down at the earth from high above, they would expect to see a circular shape where the sun's spotlight was shining. This explains why high altitude photographs are generally curved to produce the illusion of a round horizon.

OK, I will tell you I am a skeptic. For various reasons, all of which I'm sure have been debated here ad infinitum. But, it seems to me all questions could simply be answered with an airplane and a camera. So, my question is:

Why hasn't anyone chartered an aircraft and photographed the edge of the Flat Earth? Seems like a relatively easy thing to do, and would definitively prove the claims of those who say the Earth is flat.

Good news - I haven't been banned from the Flat Earth society! In fact, another guy started a thread similar to mine and I was able to chime in with my question re: photographs/video of the edge of the Earth. I'll let you know if I get any replies.
