I feel for ya dude. I got canned from the job I had before my current one. The worst thing about it was I did NOT see it coming. It hit me like a brick when they told me, and it affected me for awhile. I wasn't totally happy in the position, but wasn't planning on leaving either. I was never given any indication that this was a possibilty. My boss always told me that he would warn me if things were going south. But he never did...it turned out they were just cutting costs, but it still hurt. I had a hard time trusting people for a long time afterwards.
HOWEVER, it turns out it was THE best thing that happened to me because I am very happy in my current position (been here 5 years now). It made me grow up, find something I really wanted to do, and work for people that I respected and could learn from. I also learned to NEVER take it for granted. You'll be suprised how much you learn from this experience.  | |

With a little perspective-
say, about 1 month from now- you should be able to look back on this experience & pull at least 1 legitimately POSITIVE thing from it.. & then, as much as you can build upon this experience for the next opportunity that comes. I'll see you tonight..
