Okay listen you fussy bitch (LOL) all that aside, you have to admit it's a great show. People fussing about Klingons is an old argument, of course. They've looked different so many times, it's almost expected for them to look not the same next time.

Ouch....
ok, so you know nothing about Star Trek at all LOL
but whatever, no big deal, no one is perfect. I wish you fun in discovering that great big world out there

Actually, I do. But if you want to just be argumentative about it, and you're getting lost in the number of ridges on their head, that's on you. Klingons have had pointed (no pun) differences throughout the franchise.

We said basically the same since 1979. Number of ridges on the head is no big deal

Klingon commander
"Star Trek I"

Kruge
"Star Trek III"

Maltz
"Star Trek III"

Korrd
"Star Trek V"

They all still look like humans with funny foreheads, wild facial hair and beards.

Same actors, Same Characters

Kang
TOS: "Day of the Dove"

Kang
DS9: "Blood Oath"

Koloth
TOS: "The Trouble with Tribbles"

Koloth
DS9: "Blood Oath"

Kor
TOS: "Errand of Mercy"

Kor
DS9: "Once More Unto..."

Yes, the Klingons from the TOS look different then the series afterwards, BUT all the post TOS series worked to keep some continuity with each other once a history was fleshed out. Even took the time to explain the difference to maintain continuity.

Klingon Augment
ENT: "Affliction"

Ridged Antaak
ENT: "Divergence"

Smooth Antaak
ENT: "Divergence"

Darvin (an altered Klingon)
TOS: "The Trouble with Tribbles"

Darvin (same altered Klingon)
DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations"

Partial Klingons

Half-human half-Klingon
K'Ehleyr
TNG: "The Emissary"

Half-Romulan Half-Klingon
Ba'el
TNG: "Birthright"

Half-human Half-Klingon
B'Elanna Torres
Star Trek Voyager

Full Klingon B'Elanna
VOY: "Faces"

1/4-klingon 3/4-human
Miral Paris (B'Elanna's daughter)
VOY: "Endgame"

3/4-klingon 1/4-human
Alexander
TNG: "Reunion"

Alexander
DS9: "Sons and Daughters"

A lot has gone into the history of Klingons, seems weird to just up and change all that for creative purposes. More corporate "stomping" it looks like to me. "Stomping" where you take something great and popular, to just grind it up, pulp it up and then add a whole lot of extra stuff, fluff n' fillers, reshape it over and over again until it doesn't even resemble it's great and popular original.

Nope still haven't watched DSC, even have the blu-ray, still haven't heard anything that makes it so great and entertaining outside Jonathan Frakes is directing some series and a whole lot of money was spent. That's nice. I hear there's another series coming with Patrick Stewart in it, still not excited but I guess folks do need their paychecks, I know I need mine so I wish them luck with collecting the "rain".

Time keeps on slipping into the future...

This moment is all there is...

As a big sci-fi geek, I am ashamed to admit that I haven't seen Discovery yet.
confused

I won't comment on it until I do.

HOWEVER, I am having a REALLY hard time really getting into The Orville.

Is it a tribute? Is it a knock-off? Is it poking fun at STTNG? Maybe all of the above (but not really great)?

I really, really enjoyed the movie "Galaxyquest". It was to me, what I thought The Orville would be.

shrug I dunno. I have seen 3 episodes. I'll finish out the season and see.

It seems to me that the people that don't like The Orville are disappointed that it's not more comedic, or more like Seth's other shows, while, the people that do like it are happy that it's not too comedic and not like Seth's other shows.

Or so it seems...

I think there is less humor in season 2 than season 1. I think some of it has to do with LaMarr being in engineering because he is talking more hi-tech dialogue instead of one-liners. Also sucks that actress Halston Sage left. Wonder if it is because she and Seth went out a few times hmmm

I'm not paying for it either... until they release it on DVD. That said, we watched it, and it was a big letdown from the first two seasons.

Don't you think it felt more like a season cliff hanger? Orville still has like 5 episodes left for the season

Orville great episode but if you were the Captain wouldn't you question the robots about killing ALL the living beings on the planet when you are from a safe distance??

Shoot! Saw the first part but haven't seen the second! Thanks for the reminder so I can see the second epidsode. I think the second season of Orville is a great inmprovement over the first; I had similar feelings about ST: Next Generation. I thought it took them a good two seasons to turn the series into a compelling show. Kudos to Fox for letting this show develop...
