Well, after reading up on it, it seems like the only suspicious thing he did was to change his appearance by dyeing his hair and growing a goatee - but maybe that was due to him wanting anomynity because the media had already sentenced him as being guilty.

I really don't agree with the Death Penalty. Its immoral and absurd.

I heard on one news station this morning that he dyed his hair and grew a goatie...had a lot of money and they thought he might be tryin to go to Mexico...on another news station they said his hair was bleached and he told them it was a result of swimming at his friends pool...

I'm a bit guilty of presuming his guilt as well. But his actions make it very hard to keep in mind that his guilt or innocence still has to be proven in court.

I don't know too much about the Death Penalty and how someone is chosen. I'm assuming it is used when all forms of rehabilitaion are deemed ineffective, or when the crime is premeditated and/or particularly heinous. How are crimes of this type dealt with in your country?
