Your personal good news of the day?

So we have this neighbour, he's sick with MS and I assume that he's smoking pot from time to time, or even on a daily basis. Anyway, we haven't seen him for two months now and some other neighbours told us that they heard he died from a drug overdose. Now, we were shocked to hear that because, we kinda know him and his fam and his mom already died from MS, his dead died a few months ago and we knew that if it's true that the son died too, then his young sister would be all alone....her whole family would be dead. That shit was depressing as hell.

So today we saw him walking through the neighbourhood and we all couldn't really believe it..... I'm so happy about that that I thought about him and his sis almost for the whole day....I'm glad that the guy didn't have to die such a horrible death and that his sister is not alone.....

Actually, after a guy got shot and killed at a bar two minutes away and some people being afraid that this could be the start of a clan war, this is the first good news around my neighbourhood. smile At least one happy ending.

You don't die from MS. As Richard Pryor said, MS can't kill you, it only makes you wish you were dead.

It does make you susceptible to other things that can kill you though. An MS sufferer I know has very recently died from another disease that a non MS sufferer could have recovered from.

Absolutely. 4 of my family members has it so I know a lot of the dangers it brings but to say so and so died from MS is not technically correct.

Okay, thanks for the info. Didn't know that, her husband told us that she died from MS.

This technically isn't my good news for today because it happened last Saturday but I got married on the 26th. 2018 was a shit year for me, as some of you may remember, so at least I can say that 2019 is already a big improvement.

Congratulations Emma. That´s some really good news.

I remember when you were in hospital and your brother (or fiancé ?) was replying for you here on the org. Glad you´re feeling better.

Yeah, that was my fiancé (now husband). The fact that he managed to log in proves that he's the one. He's hopeless with anything to do with computers or phones or any kind of electronics in general. According to my cousin, it took him nearly half an hour to post anything lol. So the fact that he stuck with it says a lot.

Can't beat a wedding or a perfectly manufactured poo, but I completed Veganuary today so I'm feeling quite chuffed with myself.

This piece of good news is not mine. Its a friend of mine, but still good news.

He always wanted to be run over by a train. And when it finally happened he was chuffed to bits.

I haven't had very many good days lately, but something great happened today! We adopted this little puppy from the pound, but we won't get her for 2 weeks because of her young age. I want to pick out a name for her that is Princely. biggrin So far I've come up with Paisley for the 1st name and Park for the middle name. OR Paisley Princez (princess), OR Paisley Reign. Thinking maybe of a play on the Paisley name to Paizley or something like that.

I don't know what kind of dog she is, her momma was dumped on the side of the road and was rescued and it turned out she was pregnant. The momma looks like a wired hair terrier.

Can anyone think of any other good names?

I think Paisley is a good name. Paisley Reign sounds kind of like a pornstar though. Just off the top of my head, other suitable names I can think of are Indy (short for Indigo), Minnie (after Minneapolis) and Vanity.
I'm sure whatever name you choose will be fine. Just so long as you don't name it Violet The Organ Grinder, you'll be OK.
