I really believe that cats do have a sense for this. They know exactly when you're busy, when you need to study or when you have to be focused (videogames or reading etc). lol My cat is under my couch most of the time, since she's been traumatized by her former owners, but whenever I'm playing a video game, she hops onto my bed and just won't stop walking around me.

I'd just move him from one side of the book to the other as I read, completely moving him off the book didn't seem to work well if I wanted to get my studying in. I guess that was our one on one quality time together.
