"Facebook admits" seems to be a common phrase when referring to these parasites.

LOL. You clearly haven't seen the pictures. I am a Greek god. Of course, that god might be Epimetheus, but still...

One time here in GD a guy said he was built like a god but that god was Buddha. There was a Buddhist here and he went OFF. He did not like that joke at ALL.

I'll be honest - even after reading Mark Zuckerberg's testimony (chilling), knowing the company sells my personal info to government, Russia, or anyone who can make money off of it, and being fully aware that my photos are exposed at places I don't want them to be...I still can't delete my account. I took down a lot of past photos of mine, mostly use it to read articles or post something lighthearted and share it among friends most of the time now though..

99.999% apathy.
That is the real enemy. Nobody gives any attention to privacy except a tiny percentage. Nobody wants to sacrifice convenience. 99.999% simply want to use a service their friends are using.

Education is too hard. Alternatives are too hard. Learning about the origins and business practices of Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, spyware bundled apps, data collection practices of Windows, iOS, Android, Mac OS, etc. is all too hard. CIA and NSA business deals? All too hard.

Learning about how valuable your information is to the Profilers and advertisement-sellers and criminal manipulators using your tax dollars to spy on and censor your (virtually) every electronic activity is too hard.

Herd-mentality thinking.
http://www.youtube.com/wa...0G6mUyIgyg

We can go back many years of privacy violations on all these companies.
https://mic.com/articles/...ne-numbers Just one sample of many.

We can detail every phone conversation recorded by our govs, ability to turn on microphones and cameras on without your knowledge or permission, invasive APIs, the 24/7 spy devices in our pockets and on our desks, the effects of microwave radiation such as wifi and cellular frequencies on your mental and physical health along with the long list of privacy violations over many years, the spying 'assistant' devices on sale such as Google Home and Amazon Echo, CIA, NSA and countless intelligence agencies sharing data worldwide. We can talk about censorship and targeting of individuals trying to wake people up or change their criminal govs.

Who cares? That is the question. Very few.
Very few care about freedom. About privacy. About how much of their tax dollars go to data collection, profiling, manipulation censorship and surveillance. Very few care to do something about it. Only a truly miniscule amount care enough not to be using tools of State Surveillance or rooting or flashing their devices to remove the 'unremovable', at the very least.
