WARNING for people with heart problems because of Jump Scares.
A friend of mine had this game and told me how scary it was, so I watched him play and I thought: It's not that scary. But it looked interesting to me, so I bought it for my PS4, including headphones and started to play it. And it turned out as the most intense game I've ever played especially with headphones, you really hear everything. The scariest thing to me is you hear that Alien walking around in that space ship but you don't know where it is and before you can see it, it already catched you.
Seems like a walk in the park compared to Resident Evil 7 in VR. Now THAT was scary. In fact, it was downright terrifying and I never want to put myself through it again. I only played it for a couple of hours and that was enough for a lifetime.

I had my volume on full blast, didn't see the facehugger, scared me big time, almost had a heart attack

Resident evil 7 is the next one on my list but I also have to say that These are Just 2 clips of the whole game and when I first saw them I also thought that it might be not that scary. But when I actually played it myself with Headphones, I was surprised how scary the game really is
No but wouldn't mind playing that. Those Alien games are scary. Watch out for those face huggers.
They're worse than the xenomorph tho I Heard them coming but didn't know from what direction and when I turned around they already jumped into my face.

If you have the PSVR, play it on that. The VR really adds a lot to the experience. Without the VR, it's not really scary. But with it, it's properly terrifying.
Fantastic game, incredibly tense in the early levels. Story gets a bit drawn out later in the game but can't really complain with the game being too long. Wish they'd use the game engine to make a decent Aliens adaptation.

After all these years I still jump even though I know what is going to happen

I liked it when it first came out and loved the fact that teh ALien would randomly stalk you to keep it unpredictable. There is a VR version of PT that I really want to check out, but I don;t have any VR hardware yet.

The PSVR is pretty cheap now. Plus, it's regularly on sale so if you find it a bit much now, just wait a few weeks for the inevitable January sale. What is PT?

PT was that teaser Kojima did for 'Silent Hills' but after that whole Konami vs Kojima fight it was deleted and erased from the Playstation store. The only way to play it was to keep your PS4 offline so it couldn't be deleted.

That looked like it would have been too scary for me. I have to be honest though, I don't know who Kojima is. I Googled him and seen he made the Metal Gear Solid games. I played Snake Eater on the 3DS last year. It's like Rambo mixed with James Bond. I love it. You can use pictures saved on the 3DS as your camouflage. I took a picture of my Christmas tree and used that and it worked perfectly. I was practically invisible to all the enemy soldiers. The 3D was used to really good effect too. And there's a scene where someone tries to explain 3D movies to Snake and he's like "3D, huh? It will never catch on". It's funny because not only is he saying this in a game released on a 3D console but he's actually right. 3D didn't catch on.
