So...as an avid sci-fi geek, I am bewildered by the fact that we're going on season TWO and I haven't caught a single episode of Discovery.

I actually tried this past weekend to watch some episodes "on demand" but they want me to BUY the season.


I'll try Hulu or something later.

Yeah... If all CBS has is Star Trek & Twilight Zone, maybe instead of doing their own service they should have teamed with another company. I'm a big fan of both franchises and am down with buying DVDs & Blurays but I'm not paying for the streaming service. I'll just keep pirating when they air and buying when they're on disc.

That said, I won't even pay for Disney's service and they have Lucasfilm & Marvel. Streaming is for suckers who rent, I only pay for discs I can own.

ok djthunderfunk I've seen up to episode 12 now. Basically a little mini series within season 1 of Discovery stuck in the alternate unviverse.

Don't care if he is from the alternate universe. I like Captain Lorca

OK I finally figured out who the doctor is and they kill him off. But who knows maybe they will bring him back from the dead, like Michelle Yeoh. That is what I don't like about Discovery, I'm not sure what character is going to stay or go. Not sure if Captain Lorca sticks around not. Even Tyler could be a limited a limited character.

I think she makes a better villian than a Starfleet Captain.

Captain Georgiou????? Honestly I hate the obsure names they are picking for characters (even the ships). Makes things even harder to follow. Also don't like they are already making a prequel of Discovery which is also a prequel.

Stamets, also an obscure name, looks like Wash from Firefly

Got the seven of nine implant thing going on there

Still don't know who she is. Plus way to many aliens on Discovery

The show is called Discovery but yet there hardly is any discovering going on. I did like it when they went to the planet Pahvo.

The original is among my favorites, if not my very favorite, of TOS. DS9 Mirror Universe... not so much. Enterprise did a great job and I like what Discovery did. In my not-so-humble opinion, it's the best thing about Season 1.

Don't forget that Star Trek continues also had a great Mirror universe episode as well. Yes Enterprise mirror universe is one of, if not, my favorite episode of the series. Yes to DS9, they had way to many episodes with the running gag that the nice fereng dies in each episode. I did not like how mirror universe O'brien made a device which allowed him to go back and forth. Shame to that, you should only be able to go to the mirror universe by some freak accident. Also evil Kira was overkill as well.

Voyager kinda had an evil universe episode in episode "Living Witness"
