Things that go through your mind while waiting at a traffic signal. Do the 80s and 90s have classic regular cars? Who'd win if a seagull and a crow had a fight? Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I like to make up stories about the other drivers. I'll be sitting there, looking at the man in the car behind mine through the rear view mirror, thinking "I bet he's a pervert". Or sometimes, I'll wonder if it's an advantage or a disadvantage to be bald on a sunny day. Or where did the term "to blow someone away", when referring to someone getting shot, come from. It's generally weird things like that. My mind is a very weird place.

I can totally relate to all of that LOL. Making up stories about the other drivers is also even funnier if there's a passenger so you can make up stories together. It definitely makes me feel less weird.

Also, waiting on city buses or the subway...you not only make up stories about weird people you observe...but actually encounter them... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Isn't it amazing that we are all so nice and politie and law abiding that we actually wait for a red light even if there is no traffic? I've been to cities where traffic is total chaos.

I don't do it to be law abiding. I do it so I don't get a smack of a car coming from the other direction. Although every single time I'm in New York, I see all sorts of maniacs on the road. The traffic lights mean nothing to those people. I'm amazed that there aren't more people killed on the roads over there.

I had an experience this weekend where I had to go around 3 cars in front of me because they got stumped by a flashing red signal and I guess they were trying to be polite. I had to get on where I was going. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Nothing. What? | |

Why can no one even make an attempt to drive the correct speed limit? Infuriating. I can't stand slow drivers, seriously.

I've been reading this book, which I've had to put aside for a bit it got too depressing, hits too close to home since it's written about a lot of people who move about in my area. But it's the "new homeless". As I've been driving about I've noticed an increased number of RVs parked everywhere and I've wondered about them. Now I know. 2008 was a helluva year. Side eye Amazon. Remember when we used to listen to the Beastie Boys and dance around the car at red lights?

singing and car dancing... i look over at the car next to me and people are either cracking up laughing or looking at me like im crazy... *shrugs*

My thoughts exactly! I just can't get over the self-absorbed people who think they're so damn important that they have to look at their cell phone's while driving. People are getting seriously hurt and even killed every day because of this selfish behavior.

It definitely makes me feel less weird. More often than not its just me and my daughter in the car. Sometimes I wonder if I'm warping her little mind when I point to another driver and say "if he cuts in front of me, I'll cut his fucking head off". Although, in fairness, my daughter never swears and if I do, she's quick to tell me off about it. So maybe there's hope for her yet.

I'm not sure when I wll die, but I'm relatively sure how I will die. It will from murder by someone at whom I've flashed my lights on-and-off because it's night and they don't realize their headlights are off.
