Hopefully they'll also pick up Luke Cage and Iron Fist from Netflix. They should get Jessica Jones and Daredevil too while they're at it. I'd love to see Spider-Man and Daredevil team up to take on Kingpin.

He could come back in the next Avengers though. Spider-Man died too but there's another Spider-Man movie out a few months after the next Avengers movie.

Yeah they already had a bit of that in the last season of Luke Cage. More of that would be nice.

I can see that I'm going to be missing a whole lot of pop culture in the coming years. I ain't paying another dime just to watch stuff. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

That doesn't really matter though. Especially if there's going to be some time travel shenanigans. Gamora also died prior to the "snap" but I'm still expecting her back for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. My guess is that everyone who died in Infinity War will come back. One or two characters may die for good in Avengers 4 (my money is on Captain America).

There's no time travels involved, the flashback scenes are thanks to Tony's memory device introduces in CW. The directors explained this months ago but no one paid attention and the press keeps spreading this time travel nonsense. I just assumed that it would be the easiest way to bring dead characters back to life. And when you have a a character like Dr Strange, who's already used time manipulation in his solo movie, it doesn't seem like so much of a stretch. But even if there's no time travel at all, my point still stands regarding Loki coming back from the dead for his spin off show. Gamora died before the finger snap and she's pretty much guaranteed to be back for the next Guardians movie so it's not just the ones who Thanos killed with the Infinity Gauntlet who is going to be coming back.

Imo Loki is(was?) one of the best characters in MCU. But he peaked back in 2013 and I wonder if the show will be a hit. Anyways. I think the series could be about either post OR pre Infinity War - in which case they wouldn't have to bring him back to life. But then again, even if it's post IW...there's no permanant death for these demi-gods. In the comics at least when Loki/Thor die they are supposed to go to Valhalla which is just a different dimension.

They need to be carteful with comic book deaths, IDK if movie/TV audiences will be as forgiveful as comics fans. Comic books deaths ruined comics for me. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

The Dr Strange movie makes it clear that using the time stone or any of Dr Strange's abilities can be achieved through studies. He wasn't born with special powers. He just learned how to use them, as anyone could. And Thanos isn't just anyone, he's the most powerful being in the universe now so if he wanted to go back in time to stop himself from killing his daughter, the only person he truly loved, then he could do it. And perhaps his meddling could inadvertently bring the dead Avengers back to life. Besides, its a superhero movie, it doesn't have to make sense. Personally though, I think what they'll do is say that everyone who died went to another dimension and while they're retrieving Ant Man (who, don't forget, was left stranded in the quantum realm) they'll get everyone else back too. There's a lot of big movie stars who "died" so they'll want a lot of screen time, therefore I think the dead Avengers will be returning fairly early on in Avengers 4. How they come back won't be so important in the grand scheme of things.

Anyone seen the new official MCU timeline? It makes no sense and just makes things even more confusing than they already were I wish they'd pay more attention to those things, it's not that hard to decide what happens when and stick to it. It's not that it's hard to do. It just doesn't make sense from a creative standpoint to care too much about it. These movies all have different writers and directors and aside from the obvious restrictions that are in place preventing them from killing off a character who will be needed in the next movie, they have (mostly) free reign to do what they want within the confines of the overall story. Inevitably, that will lead to some minor plot holes or chronological inconsistencies but that is much more favourable than the alternative, which would be to completely restrict any and all creative freedom and alienate the writers and directors who they've hired to make the movies. Just look at the situation at Warner Bros with the DCEU movies. Zack Snyder was forced out because studio executives thought audiences had too short an attention span to follow a 5 movie story arc so instead movies were rushed, outside editors were hired to cut vital scenes to reduce running time and the two best actors they had have since left the series, leaving the whole DCEU in a complete shambles. If the director of Spider-Man Homecoming says that movie takes place 8 years after The Avengers so that he could retroactively say that the kid in the Iron Man mask from Iron Man 2 was a young Peter Parker, despite Marvel now saying that the movie was only 5 years after the Avengers, meaning now that the ages of the kid and Peter Parker don't line up, I can look past that. It's such a minor thing. Nobody is really paying too close attention to dates and such. Especially when you also have to factor in Agents of Shield and the Netflix shows too. It's too much to keep on top of and ultimately, it doesn't matter.

There really isn't a major misplacement of an event in the timeline though. Things seem to be at least in order. I do agree they could pay closer attention to the whole thing however. Most directors/writers don't seem to keep up with other marvel movies besides their own (they all suck at MCU trivia whenver it's come up in an interview)...But we all know from the very beginning it was never really a carefully planned out storyline. They've changed so much as they went like bringing a certain character back to life simply he was popular, etc.

It's a matter of showing respect to fans who invest time and money into following the whole saga, and respecting their own creations. Paying attention to details doesn't need to get in the filmmakers' way, it's a simple thing to do, they just don't care and I find it annoying. There are several problems: Black Panther is misplaced, it should immediately follow CW and be set before Homecoming. There's a line of dialogue in CW that says Tony became IM 8 years ago and now it's 6. There's a line in IW that says Avengers was 6 years ago and now it's 5. And of course the Homecoming fiasco that isn't in line with anything else, with 8 years now being 4... Either you don't make any time reference in the movies and leave it to the audience to figure out how much time has passed, or you do and stick to what was decided. Not to mention that they could bother including the series in the timeline. The Lucas Story group is doing a much better job at keeping continuity in place. The wording of Netflix's statement is quite curious. They only specify that season 4 won't be featured on Netflix. And Marvel themselves put out their own statements saying they're looking forward to more Daredevil adventures in the future. It definitely sounds like there's hope for Daredevil yet. Charlie Cox has 2 movie appearances in his Marvel contract too so hopefully they do something with him.
