So, this made over 700 million in the first three days? What are the production costs for a game like this? I guess the top games are absolutely crushing the movie industry these days.

I think these kinds of games have similar budgets to Hollywood movies. The likes of Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption is probably on the higher scale of that estimate.

The legendary fish are a pain in the arse to catch. My hands were in bits after a few of them.

Was messing about with the game last night and uncovered the infinite ammo cheat ... soon as I activated it though it removed the ability to save the game. I turned the cheat off on the cheat list menu and it still wouldn't let me save, so I had to roll back to an earlier game save.

This begs the question why put the cheats in the game if you can't save progress? Not being great at games I've used the infinite ammo cheat on the GTA games just to make it a little easier to get through the story.

Very weird choice by Rockstar.

For what it's worth, I'm awful at most games. Plus, I play on the 'easy' difficulty whenever I can. However, even I have found this game to be very easy so you don't need the cheats.

If you're having trouble holding onto ammo, get yourself a bandolier. It doubles your rifle ammo capacity. I think there's a holster or gunbelt that doubles your revolver ammo too. Headshots are great for conserving ammo too. One bullet, one kill. And they're not too tricky to pull off. When the auto aim locks to the target, just nudge the R stick up a tiny bit to target the head.

Good tips, thanks for that, I'll give them a try (plus a bandolier is gonna look badass!)

I've not gotten far with the game yet but I assumed it was like previous Rockstar games ... on GTA4 there were some missions I got stuck on just because of low ammo.

I tried to play GTA 4 but I got fed up with it lol. Too difficult for me. GTA 5 was easy enough though and Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely much easier. Which is great because exploration seems to be the main point of it. You don't want anything getting in the way of that.

Played a bit more RDR2 now and I think I'm getting the hang over it ... few more hours needed thought before the controls feel completely intuitive. I got GTA5 with my PS4, played the first mission, then never found the time to go back ... criminal I know. One day biggrin

GTA4 is worth sticking with, though it does have a dour vibe at times. If you want a more fun version of the game try The Ballad Of Gay Tony add-on for it ... its much more fun and has some really funny moments.

I finished Red Dead Redemption 2 last night. Great game. I haven't played many games this year so perhaps this is faint praise, but it's definitely in my top 2 for the year. I can't decide if I preferred Spider-Man or not.
