I love this "new" Maggie After everything that she's been through,it's easy to undesrtand why she's behaving this way.Rick wimped out by not killing Negan,but Maggie is showing that she will be the "tough" one.She's showing that she's the boss and that crimes will not go unpunished.I like it.

Imagine Rick coming back for a one-off to save the day and kick-ass in about three years or so ... that would be awesome! Though they way things get spoilt these days I can't see how they would be able to film it without news of Andy Lincoln being on set getting leaked

I know it´s part of the concept of TWD to kill popular characters every now and then but to be honest, I´m getting a bit tired of it, especially after one has grown accustomed to certain characters.

I hope they don´t kill him off and leave a door open for him to come back in the future, just like they did with Morgan.

Was season 8 really that bad?

I´ve honestly enjoyed every season so far, even the ones that people disliked. I think All Out War could´ve been a bit shorter, and the prison season was also a tad long, and the farm (season 2 or 3?) was also a bit long but all in all, I really still like TWD a lot.

But then again, I also enjoyed every season of LOST, even the last one, and I like FTWD, too, so maybe I´m just not critical enough.

Season 8 was frustrating to watch there were several times when Rick could have easily killed Negan,but he didn't,smh.And then there was Carl's death.....sort of a depressing season.

I wish they hadn´t killed off Carl. Killing him off was, in my opinion, a bit too much, especially since he does not die in the comicbooks and technically they did not really have to get rid of him. Felt a bit sorry for the actor, too. Many fans hated his guts but I actually liked him and didn´t find him annoying at all, and I liked his strange bond with Negan. That was a really interesting development and wish they had stuck a bit more with the original story here but I must admit that I don´t really follow the graphic novels and get most of the info onlinea or from Dave T.

And Rick not killing Negan even though he had the opportunities was getting a bit silly, too.

I wonder what the overall direction will be after Rick´s gone. After all, it all started as his story, and in essence, still is....at least for now.

The whole show would feel very different, at least to me, after Rick´s story comes to an ending.

Yeah,when Rick is gone,it's gonna feel like an entirely new show.I don't know if that's good or bad He will be missed by so many viewers

^ i think daryl is poised to take up the slack. i hope so anyway. he's our longest-running leader and it's about time he stepped up to wear his rightful crown ~!

As much as I like Daryl he's not a lead for me, not the way his character is written ... he's not a conversationalist, and I don't think the show will work being led by a character who barely talks and is in a sulk 80% of the time.

i still think the producers have him slotted as the new "rick" figure. imo he'll pull it off and maybe his character will even blossom along the way

No doubt Reedus has the acting chops ... and I'd like to see that to ... I just don't think the show writers have the skill to write Daryl as anything other than one-note.

Those little moments when he's come close to being something more than just 'grumpy biker dude' have been some of the best moments though, like when he was carrying dead Beth in his arms ... would be superb to see more of that.

the show won't have a choice....they will have to beef up Daryl's role.He's a fan favorite.I also think they'll give Michonne more to do,and Carol too...especially if the rumors about Maggie leaving are true.

Having said all that, I'm still loving the show ... they just better let Rick walk off in to the sunset; killing him may ruin the show for me. I sense it coming though. That Grimes-family-fun-day thing this week, both me and the missus watched that scene and said 'they're so killing Rick off'.

I think either Maggie or Daryl will get to Negan, Rick will step in at the last minute to stop what they're doing, and Daryl/Maggie will end up killing Rick by mistake instead. Cue Maggie leaving or Daryl becoming a better man to honour Rick ... and enter the Whisperers.

This is what we are thinking is gonna happen. I will be really surprised if he just walks away.

I heard that,after the midseason finale (when Rick dies),the show will do another time jump.I think that,when it comes back several months later,we will see Michonne with her and Rick's baby yes,I believe that Michonne will get pregnant and have Rick's child (a boy).

and if that time jump rumor is true,it really does seem like they're winding things up.MAybe there will be just one more season after this one.

Hmmm ... wonder if this means he'll be back one day

He seems like such a good dude, I wish Andy Lincoln all the best. How he hasn't had at least a one Emmy nomination for his acting on the show, god only knows ... TWD has been bypassed by the Emmys so much, its embarrassing. Horror remains the genre award ceremonies like to boycott. Their loss!

Re. next week, looking at the trailers and snippets we've seen so far I'm gonna guess it'll be left open to intepretation as to whether he lives or dies ... I think there might be a hint that he's taken by the helicopter people / Jaydis.

I've got a friend whose treating next weeks episode as the finale of the TWD, as he considers it to be Rick's story ... so no Rick, no TWD. Interesting way of looking at it ...
