Toxic Masculinity Alert: Wiz Khalifa source
This stupid motherfucker was on The Breakfast Club and said men should not eat bananas in public because people will think they're gay. They should "cut it into pieces".
How fucking fragile & toxic is a man's masculinity that simply eating a banana is a huge goddamn threat of homosexuality?
How Amber Rose can lay up with a stereotype like this and not vomit on him is the real talent here.
Here's a snip of the article, and there is a lot more behind the source link.
On Tuesday (July 17), rapper Wiz Khalifa stopped by Hot 97’s “The Breakfast Club” radio show to talk music, his relationship with Amber Rose, and tell straight men what they can’t eat in public for fear of being thought gay.
The “See You Again” performer told the show’s hosts that men should break bananas into two prior to eating it.
“If you bite a banana, you sus[pect],” he claimed. “If you’re in public, just break it into pieces.”
It wasn’t long before the instructions were met with snears and side eyes by social media users.
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

I've no idea who he is but is it possible that he was joking. It sounds too stupid to be a serious statement. |

Yeah, except he was serious. There is so much homophobia in hip-hop & rap, and in urban communities, still today. I cannot imagine he's that deep to make a joke like that.

Like I said, I've never heard of him so I can't make a judgement on whether I think he was joking or not but haven't you noticed that it's generally people with little to no education who make statements like this? I wouldn't let idiots like this Wiz guy get to me if I was you. He's just another flash in the pan rapper who will be forgotten about (by the 10 people who know him) in a few years time. |

I can only make the same response to these things all the time...if you are really secure about your own sexuality and you don't think what other people think of you, you shouldnt be concerned....about eating a banana |

LMFAO

I was listening to Tupac's "I Ain't Mad At Ya" and compared to today's high tech, cussing at 100mph speed rap it sounded like a slow learner reading a letter to a friend. I miss the analog days.
.
In my opinion, in 2018, rappers are mainly actors following an established narrative to achieve status/financial ends. There is no art there, no real culture. Thats why 50 Cent makes TV shows and most of the other pop rappers are also side-TV stars.

I'm sure you're right! A guy that smokes as much as he does most certainly has strong oral fixations.

Oh, he doesn't get to me. I'm not pissed off about him or something. But I will call out the homophobia and his fragile ego. It's such a ridiculous statement. He's been around since the early-to-mid-aughts, and has had mainstream success for about 8 years. Although - don't ask me to name a song from him.
All that said, homophobia runs ramped in the rap community and the black community. I don't believe he was joking. I agree with you about him that he's an idiot, and he's not that smart or stable. It's said he spends $10K/mo on weed. So... he's altered 24/7.

Eh the whole thing is gonna die down before it blows up. Here’s how the chain of event is gonna run: faks outrage, rampant twitter hashtag, apology statement from him, the usual “he should’ve stuck his ground” reaction & back to supporting him. Before you know it, it’s gonna be forgotten |

It's VERY odd Wiz would say something like that! Since his own son has been called homophobic slurs, for being a DIEHARD FAN of Taylor Swift's and wearing nail polish."That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream." |
