Halo TV Series: Master Chief Will Be a Character
At TCA on Monday, Nevins further described the Halo series as “futuristic, space-based science-fiction” in the vein of Star Trek. “It’s not fantasy.”
Nevins, though, said that he feels about Killen the same way that he felt about Homeland‘s Alex Gansa before that series became a hit (and is now entering Season 8). “His moment is coming,” the exec avowed.
Meaning, yes, franchise front man Master Chief will be a character on the series, Nevins affirmed.

Really looking forward to this. Halo was one of the first non Nintendo games I ever played. I don't like those kinds of shooting games normally but the story is too good to miss out on. It would be kind of cool if they got Nathan Fillion to reprise his role from the games in this new show too.

I think Halo (pt.1) was the first video game I ever really played from beginning to end, because before that I wasn´t really into videogames and never owned a console up until that point. As far as the story goes, I found it very confusing. I mean the more Halo games I played, the more confusing it got but I still like the story. Maybe I just didn´t pay enough attention to the story. I guess they´ll need to trim it down a bit for TV because it´s just a tad too complicated for those who haven´t played the games. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

My son will be SOOOOO excited about this! Though he plays Destiny now, but Halo was a mainstay for awhile.

I always had the Nintendo consoles as a kid (and I still do) but my brother gave me his old xbox 360 after he got the Xbox One. Given that I'm not really "a gamer", I deliberately seek out games that have good stories and I essentially treat them like TV shows. Halo was one of the first ones that I got really invested in. I've personally never found the story to be confusing but then again, I pay more attention during the cutscenes than I do during actual gameplay so that probably explains that. I wonder if this new show will be a retelling of the game's story or if it will exist alongside the game series.
