I've mentioned it before, Super, but it may have been in other threads you weren't participating in. I currently work with elderly and disabled individuals, have also been a hospice social worker, and have worked with adolescents that were removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect and were placed in residential treatment facilities. Not the most glamorous job in the world, but it's very rewarding in non-tangible ways.
First of all let me say, I love each and every one of you. I read everyone's posts and you all are interesting in your own ways. If I don't mention you in this post, it's only because time was short/it's Monday morning, I'm on a mountain, and we don't have any water. I brewed coffee with bottled water but I'm not my usual self until my morning shower!
So in no particular order:
damosuzuki/sexton - These two guys blow me away with their knowledge of film. Wow! They see more movies in a month than I do in a year, and never lose their enthusiasm. Although, I believe they BOTH owe me a viewing of "Animal House". C'mon fellow, I ain't getting any younger!
well, you're being far too nice to include me, but thank you. you'd certainly be near the top of my list. but really, i'm second fiddle to sexton as far as movies are concerned. i'm just the monkey, & he's the organ grinder.
& you are absolutely right that i do owe you one viewing of animal house. it will happen. soon!

one of the podcasts that i follow pointed out that this past week was the 40th anniversary of the release of animal house, which reminded me yet again that i have this looming obligation to watch it.
i'm definitely going to catch it soon. probably this weekend. i would have watched it tonight, but i have three credits from july on kanopy that will expire soon, so i need to use those first!
Wow! I can't believe I made anyone's list but I'm so honored! BIG BIG Love to everyone! There are quite a few that I have a lot of respect for, some that make me read things a little crosseyed (trying to figure out what they mean), and others that leave me scratching my head wondering if they are for real. But I've not met anyone on the org that I don't like, don't care for in an odd online way, or don't think about and wish them the best when they are going through things. One thing that Prince did well was to bring people together, and no where is that more evident than in the Prince communities that came in to being around mutual love for his music. I kind of look at us as a big purple family, and as is true in most families, we have those family members we adore, those family members that can get under our skin, and family members that can make us angry but no one else can mess with that family member but us. You all are great and wonderful in my eyes.
