It's not a temporary problem, it doesn't go just go away. There might be good days but sometimes the bad days out number the good...well..a lot of the time.
I often wonder if the ones who commit suicide, like my grandmother thinks of the ones that will be left behind? Because I know my Grandma wouldn't want to leave the devistation that she did for her grandkids. If they would just think of their loved ones then maybe she wouldn't have done it.
32 years later and I'm still really mad at her. She missed out on so much and it was by her own doing and that makes me mad.
She also made us miss out on so much.

I thought most people knew Sid Vicious was a moron.
Either way, this adds something else (possibly) to a motive. If directed at Bourdain (and not in praise of Bourdain somehow... if he was known as a Sid Vicious of the culinary show) this would be a direct link. Heartbroken guy, replaced for younger lookalike (somewhat)... possibility.

I'm not saying I agree with the meme or not but there's a good discussion around it.
Something similar I've said before about suicide is you're going to die anyway. Comes with the birth certificate. Not sure if people in that state consider it that way. Think it's ending the pain in their life more than wanting death.
I agree with you. The part that is hard is trying to convince people in that state of mind that there IS still something worth living for...and that if they just hang on a little longer, the burden will lighten. (And I'm not talking about people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and don't have long to live--that's a different issue). Then there's this, poor Mom.
https://www.nytimes.com/2...-dead.html
His mother, Gladys Bourdain, who was a longtime editor at The New York Times, said she had no indication that Mr. Bourdain might have been thinking of suicide. “He is absolutely the last person in the world I would have ever dreamed would do something like this,” Ms. Bourdain said.

Yes I have... and some very very speculative and possibly insane reddit threads (insane or on the spot)... rabbit hole stuff... for a guy who toured the world, who did various drugs, etc etc.
It's a lot to think of. I will just observe... I have no horse in this... ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫ |

It's heartbreaking.
I'm actually wondering if it wasn't suicide. I haven't heard of any note being left. Could it be a sexual thing, like David Carradine died of?

Somebody said that early in the thread. IDK. Maybe more will come out in the investigation. Not sure if they could determine that as a fact or not. Nothing has been said about a note that I see, but the investigation is in France. Don't know their protocol. The news this am said they are waiting on toxicology and then he will come back to the States.

If I remember correctly, McGowan has had her own battles with depression (correct me if I'm wrong). But, she is right--it was Bourdain's choice and cannot be blamed on his partner, who, it appears, also suffers from the illness. It also seems like Bourdain wanted to be self-sufficient and didn't reach out for help when he most needed it (from the article). This article about Anthony was interesting especially in relation to Prince
And number 5 on the list. I believe some here speculated about Prince
Maybe having this disorder. Apparently Anthony self diagnosed himself
With narsassitic personality disorder.

Oh jay-sus. Rose McGowan is a drama grabber and Rolling Stone loves the click bait. Bourdain's death is not about Argento or McGowan or Harvey Fucking Weinstein, it's about Anthony Bourdain. But she managed to glom it all in there. Argento requested privacy, now we're told Rose was asked to write that. Most of it is about them, not Anthony Bourdain. Not even one personal story or remembrance of him from Rose.
Personally, I don't need to know how old McGowan's father was when he died right now. And the line about Argento going to work to put food on her children's table - according to wiki she's worth 16 million. It chaps me when rich people talk about needing to feed their children, like they live hand to mouth. Shut up already.

Or go to dinner. He isolated. One of his best friends was in the same building. Whatever happened, including an external trigger, it would probably have been less horrible if he told somebody. He went for it as they say. I feel sorry for the hotel too. What a bummer to be that place.
