I'd also nominate Al Swearengen from Deadwood as the best character on TV. Along with Boyd Crowder from Justified.

I've never seen "Deadwood" and only saw a couple "Justified" episodes (although I've read all of Elmore Leonard's books). I'll have to check those out.

I am OBSESSED with this show. Brilliant writing and acting.

The Teddy Perkins episode was mesmerizing - I recorded it but did not know what it was about at all and it blew my mind.

Westworld, season 2. Well. ?/10. I just have no idea really how to rate this. I think it's mostly fascinating television, but I can also follow the criticism of some that the broken up timelines is like a rather cheap storytelling trick. And I'm not quite sure what causes both Bernard's and Dolores' change of minds at the end? And what really was Ford's game for the MiB? And why did the MiB call the Valley Beyond his "greatest mistake"? And what really was he after anyway? Well.

In 1973 or whatever, I went to the movies and watched Yul Brenner in "Westworld". I remember some busty robots, and that Yul Brenner went nuts and shot some people before they took out his battery. That's all the "Westworld" viewing I have ever done...

...until I watched the season/series finale a couple nights ago with my daughter. WTF? I know that coming in at the very last episode meant I would be a little (LITTLE?!?) behind the curve, but seriously - WTF?

Everyone is either dead, alive. dead AND alive, a robot, a secret robot, or someone else's soul living in a robot. Some people are in a new world. and some people are not, and some people are (I assume) in all worlds at all times.

The only thing I can definitively say about "Westworld" is this:

Tha black guy with the beard and reading glasses is The All-Time Mumbling Champion. Oh how I wish my old Org friend lowercasemumbles was still here!

After it was over, I informed my daughter that I really liked the movie this was based on. She said, "What movie?!?" I explained how this was based on a movie from 1973. "My generation can't come up with one original idea!" she exclaimed. Ah, youth.

Since I missed all the other episodes, and couldn't understand 10% of what The Mumbling Champion said, I can only rate "Westworld" as Confusing.

(2018) The last couple of days I have been watching on Netflix this 10 tv series, based on the murder investigations of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. 5 years ago I was preoccupied with school work, job, and life to ever give myself any TV time. Now that I have no papers to write during the weekend I finally started watching Breaking Bad and Ho Lee Fuck. I'm someone who couldn't ever get into other accalimed shows like Game of Thrones,Houseof Cards, Orange's the new black...EVER. But this...no TV show has had me this invested emotionally and mentally. Especially for someone who studeid Chemistry at college haha this show is so fucking perfect I wanna cry. On season 3 now, so far 5/5, it may become my favorite show of all time (right now it's still SVU). Will have Saturday night off and binge watch the rest of the season and hopefully finish the whole thing within weeks. I'm at work now can't stop thinking about it.

Westworld - Season 2

Viewing it a second time as a binge-watch made it much more coherent. So having said that, there is a little too much going on to be recalled for weekly airings. 4.5/5

7.5/10. Very cool. Nice balance between great action and characte-stories.

Altered Carbon 5/10 - I have to confess that sci-fi is not one of my favourite genres, but I have a vested interest in this and therefore needed to watch it.

I have to say the special effects in this were spectacular, but that came at the expense of a decent storyline. I quite enjoyed the book but I felt that this was strung out too thinly IMO over the ten episodes. It would have made a great two hour film though.

Westworld -- Season 1 (2016)

Pretty smart, very layered, good performances, legitimate twists, but it leaves me feeling a little claustrophobic. Still, I'm in.

The Fall Guy (1981-1986)

Starring Lee Majors who plays a Hollywood Stuntman and part-time Bounty Hunter. I love the fact that Lee sings the theme song "The Unknown Stuntman" using the name Colt Severs. What a hottie I loved him since The Six Million Dollar Man. I give this classic show with great celeb cameos, a 5 out of 5

Westworld Season 2 (2018)

"Kiksuya" is the best episode of the series thus far. But as the series gets more expansive, it feels more claustrophobic because the story is getting circular. A solid slate of performers and performances is, well, lost in the machinery.

I do love the music covers, especially "C.R.E.A.M."

Just got out of hospital on Thursday and I've been advised to rest while I recuperate. I'm not one for following doctors orders but just this once, I've decided to comply. So yesterday, which was Friday, I sat down and decided to finally watch Atlanta. I've had it recorded since it first aired but hadn't watched it yet. So I started watching and before I knew it I had watched the entire first season. In one day. And it was so good that I'm kicking myself for not watching it sooner. Seriously, it's one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. Funny, at times weird, thought provoking, genuinely great viewing. The second season has already aired in America but I don't know when they'll be showing it over here but it can't come soon enough. ATLANTA gets a massive FIVE STARS from me.

I like it too though preferred Six Feet Under. It is well done, but at times wish there were a little more functional characters to balance out all the dysfunction! Did finding out it had the same creator as Six Feet Under make sense to you? I didn't know it either at first, but the shows have some similarities in the willingness to show the self-centeredness of the characters, to have questions about identity, alientation, and orientation, and at least one main character who apparetnly has Borderline Personality Disorder (I actually wonder if all the grown up children of the transgender character struggle with these issues). Glad you enjoyed the show.

If I was to compare it to anything else I'd say its like a cross between Curb Your Enthusiasm and Twin Peaks. Pure brilliance. Especially that "Teddy Perkins" episode....

YES! Agree! Season 2 was even more awesome The writing and the acting are just superb. It can get really dark, but then it balances out with some genuinely comedic moments as well - it's so good!

OMG - I had recorded the "Teddy Perkins" episode and luckily did not read anything on the internet (it was buzzing about this episode when it aired) - then I finally watched it and was completely mesmerized!
