Moviepass - yea or nay?

Anyone have one of these? Would you recommend? Drawbacks?

I've heard good things and so-so... What's your opiinion?

I've explored it a lot lately. People that have it swear by it. The $9.99 is a movie a day, every day per month. The $7.99 plan is 4 movies a month - basically one a weekend. If you use either one time a month, it's paid for itself because what movie is $10 anymore, especially first weekend?

PS Some of those plans average out to that price, but you pay for the full year up front.

I'm certain it has implications for filling the houses on films that don't ordinarily achieve an audience, and film 'houses' wish to negotiate with it to (hopefully) sell concessions.

That's the only way I figure it...

and OF COURSE>.. like SINCE 1995 or so.... like all those fucking cards/rewards cards etc...

No idea. It's partly why they've readjusted their plans and pricing. MoviePass reimburses the theater for the difference in cost. I almost wonder if MoviePass hopes that everyone who signs up won't actually use it, so they have money to cover the people who do use their pass.
