Smallville: Lana and Chole in sex cult WTF

Smallville Actress Denies Claims She Was a Recruiter for Alleged ‘Sex Cult’

The day after the leader of an alleged sex cult was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, reports emerged that Smallville actress Kristin Kreuk had recruited women to be sex slaves. The actress has denied those claims, on Twitter. The cult, NXIVM, was started by Keith Raniere in 1998. It had been known as a “cult-like” organization since 2007, but was forced into the spotlight last year, when the New York Times published an exposé.

Raniere told young women that NXIVM (pronounced nex-e-um) was a self-help organization. Members were “slaves” who reported to “masters,” and worked to move up a ladder of enlightenment. They were also subject to ritual brandings and other humiliating practices, including losing weight in order meet Raniere’s standards of beauty and having sex with him. Officially, Albany-based NXIVM offers “Executive Success Programs Inc. — programs that provide the philosophical and practical foundation necessary to acquire and build the skills for success.” Many actors and actresses have enrolled in the courses over the years, including Kreuk. However, she wrote on Twitter last night that that was all she did.

Allison Mack, a Different Smallville Actress, Has Been Arrested for Role in Sex Cult

Earlier this month, Smallville actress Kristin Kreuk had to fend off rumors that she worked as a recruiter for a sex cult called NXIVM. It was started in 1998 by a man named Keith Raniere, who billed it as a self-help organization. After the New York Times published an exposé of NXIVM last year, Raniere was tracked down and finally arrested several weeks ago for alleged sex trafficking. Now, a different Smallville actress has entered the plot. “Page Six”reports that Allison Mack was arrested for allegedly serving as Raniere’s recruiter. It’s unknown whether or not she participated in or enforced practices like bodily branding, forced dieting, and physical abuse that are reported to have taken place within NXIVM.

According to TMZ, Mack was on the scene when Raniere was arrested in March, and today she was taken into custody by FBI agents. Mack will reportedly be brought back to New York state to face charges.

Update: The United States Attorney’s Office has issued a statement on the arrest of Mack, which has been obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. “As alleged in the indictment, Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere,” U.S. Attorney Richard P. Donoghue said in a statement. “The victims were then exploited, both sexually and for their labor, to the defendants’ benefit.” Raniere has already been charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and forced labor conspiracy by the USAO for the Eastern District of New York. Mack was scheduled to be arraigned today.

I know Lana says she wasn't aware of a lot of the stuff that goes on within the cult but investigations have been going on pretty much since the group was founded so she must have known that it wasn't entirely on the level. I don't think she's as innocent as she's making herself out to be.

As for Chloe, well, I guess that's another one for the wall of weird...

First full disclosure: NXIVM is in my city, like almost across the street (it feels like it). Their ramblings are part of local culture sometimes. You hear about things.

Next, Kreuk was in it early on but left. It was Mack that went ovary deep into shit. She was arrested in NYC last week. It was on the news and in the local Times Union paper.

I saw a Dateline (?) story about this a few short months ago. It was pretty surprising that it had made it to that level of craziness.

Raniere's 'teachings' (I use the word lightly) about finding one's self is part Satanism, a lot of Scientology, the usual "fuck me so I can transfer my energy to you through my penis into your vagina" bullshit (which is where the sex trafficking comes in), and a bunch of other pseudo-religions-turned-cults throughout modern history.

How someone gets pulled into such nonsense is just either Mack being really stupid or Raniere being really good at what he does. Or both.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

It wasn't far, actually. Rick was burning women with crack pipes. NXIVM was branding the women when a combination of the guy's initials and Mac's initials. K.R. and then you turn it sideways and there is an A.M. The branding is part of a sexual submission ritual he created. This would go on for 30 minutes to an hour, just with the branding. No drugs, no pain reliever, etc. Google Image it. There are a lot of women who were tied up naked and branded, or were deceived into being branded. Its violence is brutal against women.

Just as a side note: Someone should have known it was bullshit because he demanded to be called Vanguard and his gal pal (not Mack) was called Prefect (not Perfect).

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Sex Cult Member Amid Allison Mack’s Arrest

It was ‘Smallville’ actress Kristin Kreuk who allegedly introduced Allison Mack to the alleged sex cult NXIVM.

Actress Kristin Kreuk never rose to the levels of power that Smallville co-star Allison Mack, 35, did within the NXIVM organization, but she reportedly introduced her onetime pal to the controversial group that has been labelled an alleged sex cult. In 2005 the 35-year-old beauty joined what at the time was a women’s empowerment multi-level marketing organization. Kristin later left the group in 2012, claiming that she never saw any illegal activities going on. Mack then rose to a high level of power under founder Keith Raniere, recruiting women into what they believed was female mentorship group. Both are now uner arrest and prosecutors say she brought new members in to have sex with Raniere, who allegedly paid her in return.

Kristin joined NXIVM to overcome shyness, but says that she never witnessed any sex slave situations while with the controversial group that she left in 2012.

In a March 29 tweet she wrote “When I was about 23, I took an Executive Success Programs/NXIVM ‘intensive,’ what I understood to be a self-help/personal growth course that helped me handle my previous shyness, which is why I continued with the program. I left about five years ago and had minimal contact with those who were still involved. The accusations that I was in the ‘inner circle’ or recruited women as ‘sex slaves’ are blatantly false.” She added “I am deeply disturbed and embarrassed to have been associated with NXIVM. I hope that the investigation leads to justice for all of those affected.”

Allison Mack seemingly tried to recruit Emma Watson for alleged sex cult doh!

1524514723275.jpg?ve=1&tl=1&text=big-top-image

Allison Mack, left, has been accused of recruiting women to be involved in an alleged sex cult. She seemingly tried to get "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson involved with the controversial organization. (Reuters)

Allison Mack may have tried to recruit superstar “Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson to be a part of the alleged sex cult NXIVM.

On Jan. 23, 2016, Mack tweeted “@EmWatson I'm a fellow actress like yourself & involved in an amazing women's movement I think you'd dig. I'd love to chat if you're open.”

Watson’s current Twitter handle is @EmmaWatson. Watson became an activist for women’s issues and gender equality and was named a UN Women Goodwill ambassador in 2014. It appears Mack was attempting to reach the “Beauty and the Beast” star to tell her about the organization that she touted as a female mentorship group.

A rep for Watson did not immediately return Fox News' email seeking comment.

Mack, now 35, is best known for her role in “Smallville” on the CW. On Friday, she pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking after federal prosecutors said she worked as a slave "master" recruiting unsuspecting women to the cult-like group led by a man who sold himself as a self-improvement guru to the stars.

Keith Raniere, the co-founder of NXIVM, stands accused of keeping numerous women as slaves and branding his initials into their skin. In March, Mack was seen in March running after him as police hauled him away from a $10,000-a-week Mexican villa where the pair had reportedly been hiding out.

“As alleged in the indictment, Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere,” U.S. Attorney Richard P. Donoghue said in a statement. “The victims were then exploited, both sexually and for their labor, to the defendants’ benefit."

A bail hearing for Mack will be held Tuesday.

“She was the principal recruiter of young slaves for Raniere,” Parlato told Fox News on Friday. “They nicknamed her Pimp Mack.”

Prosecutors said she required women she recruited to engage in sexual activity with Raniere, who paid Mack in return.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Moira Kim Penza said in court that that "under the guise of female empowerment" Mack "starved women until they fit her co-defendant's sexual ideal."

Founded in 1998, NXIVM promoted Raniere's teachings as a kind of mystical, executive coaching designed to help people get the most out of life. Enrollees in its Executive Success Programs paid handsomely for his advice. The organization also drew criticism from people who likened it to a cult.

Last year, the accusations took a new twist, with women who were part of a NXIVM subgroup coming forward to say that they had been physically branded with a surgical tool against their will.

Will Grace Park speak about role with cult leader busted for sex trafficking?

Actress Grace Park, formerly of Hawaii Five-O, was a follower of Keith Raniere for several years. Publicly, she has said nothing about whether she knew Raniere was in the sex trafficking business.
There was evidence Park could have relied on to discover whether Raniere and his life-coaching programs of NXIVM led to the abuse of women. Reports of him being a pedophile have been public since 2012.
Grace Park attended classes created by a man now in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Park made videos with Raniere, wherein he discusses his philosophy and she listens with rapt admiration – sometimes seeming to go into a trance from his words or gestures. Park was happy to pay for classes, wear the yellow sash of the cult, learn the secret handshake, take off her shoes and bow before Raniere, sign an NDA to never reveal any of his teachings, and even coach other students into the mysteries taught by sex-slaver Raniere.
After the blackmail and branding story broke – about how Raniere and his chief sex-slave. actress Allison Mack – ran a secret group within NXIVM, Park went silent on the subject. Some of her friends – like actresses Sarah Edmondson and Nicki Clyne – were in the master-slave cult. Edmondson quit and became a whistle blower.
Park said nothing, but she asked Raniere to take videos of them off YouTube. She did not leave NXIVM despite massive evidence of sex-slavery. When Raniere and his financier, Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman, tried to put Edmondson in jail – as the feds reported in their criminal complaint – on trumped up charges – evidently to punish her for whistle blowing – Park remained quiet.
She did not muster a word in defense of her friend, Edmondson, who Raniere threatened with imprisonment for nothing more than speaking out against human female branding.
Park called me several times. She was worried about one thing: that her name was on my websites. She wanted her name off, so no one would ever know she was involved in NXIVM.
From what I have been told, Park played a tough gal on Hawaii 5-0. She was not so tough when it came to speaking out against the brutality of Keith Raniere, a man she paid as much as $100,000 to learn from. This was not her fight. She wanted to remain under the radar.
After I broke the blackmail and branding story, Park, then 43, did not quit NXIVM. She quit her hit CBS hit TV show Hawaii Five-O instead. She said she was unhappy with pay and work on the show. Her career path mirrors actress Allison Mack’s, now head slave of NXIVM, and actress Nicki Clyne, who is Mack’s slave. All three actresses quit TV shows at the height of their careers.
A year before she announced she was quitting Hawaii Five-0, Park made her public debut as a supporter of Raniere – on March 7, 2016, when NXIVM launched “Keith Raniere Conversations”, a “series of one-on-one interviews between ‘NXIVM founder, Keith Raniere,’ and a number of his students. According to NXIVM’s website, Raniere ‘tackles some of the hardest ethical and social issues unfolding on the world stage.’
Raniere is now on the world stage himself, having been arrested in Mexico, deported to the US and now in prison – denied bail and awaiting trial. He faces a life sentence if convicted.

Before he fled to Mexico and was arrested, Park visited Raniere in Albany, NY numerous times She enrolled in his ‘Intensives” — high intensity courses which run 16 consecutive days. Students are taught the secret teachings of Raniere which they pledge to keep secret forever.

Prior to Hawaii Five-0 Park, Park appeared on the TV show Battlestar Galactica. DOS slave Clyne also appeared on the show but quit acting to become a full-time student of Raniere. Raniere may indeed be the head of a blackmail and sex trafficking group as is alleged by the DOJ Eastern District of New York. Grace Park may have nothing to do with sex trafficking. She may not be branded. But she says nothing one way or the other.

Keith Raniere made a famous actress – playing tough gal roles – literally hide under the bushes like a little girl afraid of the bogey man.

'Sex cult' led by Smallville actress Allison Mack 'held wild parties on Richard Branson's private Caribbean island in a bid to recruit the billionaire'

  • Members of Nxivm 'sex cult' reportedly held two wild parties on Necker Island
  • Necker is billionaire businessman Richard Branson's private Caribbean island
  • Members, including co-founder Nancy Salzman, visited island in 2007 and 2010
  • Former Nxivm publicist Frank Parlato claimed the visits were Nxivm's attempt to 'reruit Branson into the organization'
  • A Virgin Management spokesman said that 'there is absolutely no association between Sir Richard and the Nxivm group or its leader'
  • Nxivm founder Keith Raniere did not visit the island during the alleged visits
  • Raniere was arrested on the sex trafficking charges in Mexico in March

  • Raniere and Mack are both facing life sentences in prison if convicted of charges

Members of the Nxivm 'sex cult' led by Smallville actress Allison Mack reportedly held wild parties on billionaire Richard Branson's private Caribbean island at least twice.

According to The Sun, several members, including co-founder Nancy Salzman, visited Branson's Necker Island for two seminars in 2007 and 2010.

Former Nxivm publicist Frank Parlato told the newspaper: 'I was told the reason they staged the seminars on Necker was they hoped to recruit Branson into the organization.'

Parlato said that the businessman 'would have been the biggest score they ever had'.

One of the visits was reportedly paid for by billionaire heiress and Nxivm follower Sara Bronfman, whose late father, businessman Edgar Bronfman Sr, knew Branson, according to the Sun.

Sara's sister, Clare, is also one of Nxivm's longtime followers. Clare recently took over as leader for the 'sex cult' after actress Allison Mack and leader, Keith Raniere were arraigned on sex trafficking charges.

According to the Sun, Raniere did not visit the island during the alleged visits. Raniere was arrested on the sex trafficking charges in Mexico in March.

The Sun obtained photos that showed Branson, Sara and Mack together. The photos were reportedly taken on Necker Island in 2010.

Parlato claims that Salzman 'said she did the teaching by day. But she said he [Branson] became increasingly restless and hosted really crazy parties that started earlier and earlier'.

Branson told the newspaper that he was not aware of any seminars. He claims he has never heard of Raniere and never met him.

A Virgin Management spokesman said that 'there is absolutely no association between Sir Richard and the Nxivm group or its leader'.

.

It seems unlikely that Raniere will be able to strike any deals with the US attorney's office, who successfully petitioned to have him held without bail in a letter to the court stating that the cult leader had sexual relationships with two minor females, aged 15 and 12, in the past.

The allegations against Raniere and Mack were outlined in a Complaint and Affidavit in Support of Arrest Warrant that was filed back on February 14.

.

Special Agent Michael Lever with the FBI had been investigating Raniere and speaking with former cult members, including two women known as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2.

Lever states that Raniere came up with the idea for Nxivm's sex slave program, known as DOS, during the summer of 2015.

A woman by the name of CC-1, who was revealed to be Mack in subsequent filings, was his first 'slave,' and provided 'collateral' which guaranteed she would remain faithful to him by providing Raniere with damning material.

Mack was reportedly Raniere's number two for years and implemented a strict diet for the 'sex slaves' .

/

'CC-1's email was titled "vow 3" and included an attached letter. The letter pledged CC-1's "full and complete life" to 14 RANIERE,' reads the complaint.

'In the letter, CC-1 used the terms "slave" and "master" to refer to herself and RANIERE. Moreover, the letter identified "collateral" to "cement" the vow made by CC-1.

.

'This collateral was described as: (1) a letter regarding CC-1's mother and father that would "destroy their character"; (2) a contract that transferred custody of any children birthed by CC-1 to RANIERE if CC-1 broke her commitment to RANIERE; (3) a contract that transferred ownership of CC-1's home if the commitment to RANIERE was broken; and (4) a letter addressed to social services alleging abuse to CC-1's nephews.'

.

It is not clear if any of the claims made in those letters were true.

Soon, CC-1 was recruiting slaves of her own and filling out the pyramid that Raniere had hoped to create, selecting Jane Doe 1 as one of these women.

Allegations of Raniere's alarming and illegal sexual predilections are also outlined in a letter sent by US Attorney Richard P Donoghue to Judge Steven M Gold back in March.

The allegations against Raniere and Mack were outlined in the Complaint and Affidavit in Support of Arrest Warrant that was filed back on February 14

The allegations against Raniere and Mack were outlined in the Complaint and Affidavit in Support of Arrest Warrant that was filed back on February 14

'According to confidential sources, the defendant had repeated sexual encounters with multiple teenage girls in the mid-to-late 1980s and early 1990s,' reads the letter.

.

'In one instance, the defendant met a fifteen-year-old girl while he was in his 20s and had repeated sexual contact with her. In another instance, the defendant met a twelve-year-old girl whose mother worked for the defendant and began tutoring her.'

.

The letter goes on to say: 'Shortly thereafter, the defendant began having regular sexual intercourse with her, including at his home where he lived with multiple adult sexual partners.'

Raniere is also said to have voiced his belief that the age of consent should be lowered to when a parent believes their child is capable to sexual activity.

Mack was arrested and arraigned on federal charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit forced labor.

.

Those are the same charges thatRaniere, 53, is being charged with, and both are facing a possible sentence of life behind bars.

The group has a large base in Albany, but a number of its most high-profile members decamped to Mexico earlier this year.

'Smallville' actress Allison Mack out on bail, facing 15 years to life in prison

NEW YORK - “Smallville” star Allison Mack was released from federal custody Tuesday afternoon on $5 million bail as she faces charges ranging from conspiracy to commit forced labor to sex trafficking.

Mack faces 15 years to life if convicted.

Mack, 35, who appeared in a tan jail uniform alongside her lawyers, was silent except for saying “yes, your honor” to questions from Judge Viktor Pohorelsky.

Mack was arrested last week, along with co-defendant Keith Raniere, in connection to her role in an alleged sex cult tied to the self help organization NXIVM.

As a condition of her bail, Mack is to have no connection with any current or former NXIVM members and will be monitored by an electronic bracelet. Upon her release, Mack will be returning to California to live with her parents until her next court appearance on May 3.

Her mother, Melinda, was present in court to sign the documents, while her father has until May 4 to sign. To reach the $5 million stipulates in the bail, Mack and her family had to put up their homes, assets and retirement plans.

During Mack’s first court appearance last week, it was revealed she married “Battlestar Galactica” star Nicki Clyne, who was also rumored to be part of NXIVM. Clyne and Mack were spotted in Mexico when Raniere was hunted down by police and arrested at a $10,000-a-week villa they were reportedly hiding out last month.

Founded in 1998, NXIVM promoted Raniere's teachings as a kind of mystical, executive coaching designed to help people get the most out of life. Enrollees in its Executive Success Programs paid handsomely for his advice. On its website, NXIVM bills itself as a “community guided by humanitarian principles” that “helps people realize the potential that exists within them” — a far cry from the sex cult that its detractors say Raniere ran.

“Mack was the primary recruiter of young slaves for Raniere,” Frank Parlato, NXIVM’s former publicist, told Fox News. “She was both a victim and victimizer, a mastermind and a useful idiot.”

Mack, who joined the organization sometime between 2006 or 2007, was initially only involved in NXIVM courses, but former members say that her celebrity, and a series of defectors from the group, led to her rise to a position of prominence. She was also romantically involved with Raniere.

Court papers say that Mack and Raniere also created a society within NXIVM called "DOS" — an acronym based on a Latin phrase that loosely translates to "Lord/Master of obedient female companions." Women were required to provide damaging material about their friends and family, naked photos and even sign over their assets as a condition for joining, they said. Many were branded with his initials, they said.

“Keith Raniere convinces these women to keep their word,” Barbara Boucey, a former girlfriend of Raniere, told Fox News. “He’s got a close inner circle and now sees a way for these women to police one another.”

Prosecutors added that Mack required women she recruited to engage in sexual activity with Raniere, who paid Mack in return.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Moira Kim Penza said in court that that "under the guise of female empowerment" Mack "starved women until they fit her co-defendant's sexual ideal."

Neither NXIVM nor a representative for Mack had a comment for Fox News. NXIVM posted this note on their website after Raniere was arrested: "In response to the allegations against our founder, Keith Raniere, we are currently working with the authorities to demonstrate his innocence and true character. We strongly believe the justice system will prevail in bringing the truth to light. We are saddened by the reports perpetuated by the media and their apparent disregard for 'innocent until proven guilty,' yet we will continue to honor the same principles on which our company was founded. It is during the times of greatest adversity that integrity, humanity and compassion are hardest, and needed most.

The shocking part is women allowing themselves to be controlled by a man and victimizing other women all in the name of "female empowerment." rolleyes

There maybe have been men, but I've yet to hear about any.

Is it just females trying to recruit other women to join the cult?

It's this one guy, Raniere, and another woman who was his 2nd in command, and now Allison Mack in the higher rankings. They convince other women it's an empowerment organization, etc,. and eventually get them to the point of having sex w/ Raniere while buying into the whole thing. It's a brainwashing.
