Tanning bed Vs Fake Self Tanner

Ok so I have this friend who has a little acne but goes to the tanning bed to kinda hide. But I hear that in time, going to the tanning will age him. Is the tanning bed really that dangerous and not as safe as the sun? also he tried using fake self tanner and he came out mighty orange.Anyone have any suggestions for him?

You should get your acne treated by a dermatologist.

An tanning bed, yeah talk to your dermatologist too. Skin is another organ of the human body.

In matters like this, I highly suggest you ask an expert. Here is the email address for one:

Take it from someone who has had skin cancer - tanning beds are not safe. Premature aging is the least of the risks.

When I used to model, I experimented with fake tan from a bottle, spray tan, tanning beds, all of it. What I discovered was that every method has many downsides with the only upside being tanned skin. And I don't even consider that to be an upside anymore.

Basically, it's all bollocks and your friend is better off not using any of it.

Dang. Those are the best IMO. I've only had 2 done, when a couple of my kiddos got married, but I'll never do it another way.

You have to exfoliate before your appointment, I use a sugar scrub and pay attention to elbows and knees. You go in a little booth, tell them if you want your tan, light, medium, or dark. You can strip down to have everything tanned or wear your under clothes, and they just spray you. You can't shower for 24 hours, and have to sleep the 1st night in long sleeves and pants. The bronzer they use comes off in the shower but they only use the bronzer to show them where they've sprayed, the tan stays on for 5-7 days and they charged me $30. Smells kinda coconutty to me.
