I'm so happy for you! It is always a day by day goal to be active and it looks like you are well on your way. Have activities that bring you joy and not drudge. And yes, doing activites while waiting for something engages your brain too. Going to get the oil changed in your car? Make the appointment on a nice day and take a brisk hour walk. Going for groceries? Park way the hell away from the most convenient space and do a couple extra laps in the store.
Congrats on the new job! That always helps the outlook.
Thank you. I have to comment that although I have become much more physically active, I believe that my own issues are fought in my mind. In my old job I became depressed and, and as result, I overate and did very little exercise, gaining weight as a result (I'm by no means huge but I had gained fat from eating junk). I don't want to reveal my breaking point but at that point I gave my notice at work and decided change was needed. I am now financially worse off so can't afford a gym therefore tips such as the ones you've given are helping. I'm happier mentally though and that has become reflective in my diet and fitness regime. I truly believe that mental well-being is the most important thing to take care of, even if it has come at a financial loss.

I am not so much into the cheese as the bacon... maybe it is age? I have also started back to sugar. I was on mostly no sugar (save a little ice cream). But I have not even been to that burger place in 6 mos. They have a bad rep for not supporting the community. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"
