Trivial? What did you end up doing for your B-Day? Did you get any over the hill cards or black balloons?

My friend/roommate had the week off. We took it easy all week.

On my birthday we got up and drove north to some outlet malls. Sounds not exciting, but I'm a kitchen nerd and there is a Le Creuset outlet up there. It was my nirvana. Also went clothes shopping.

Friday, we went to get free food at Red Robin and Sonic, then picked myself up some Lush product at the mall.

Today (Saturday) is his birthday (he's 56). We met up with a half-dozen other friends at a local Mexican place, ate dinner and the waitress brought us free fried ice cream. I created an event on Facebook and called it the Sally O'Malley Stretchin' and Kickin' Birthday Dinner. hahaha The only thing we stretched was our waistlines.

He's torturing me watching an episode of McMillan and Wife, one where they went to 120 minutes in season 5. Kill me now.

Sounds like fun...but I feel for your roommate. I was never into McMillan and Wife but the local free TV station got rid of my two old favorites as a kid-Hawaii 5-0 and Mash. Glad your 50th was enjoyable--wishing you another 50!

He loves old TV shit like that. I can't even imagine purposely buying old ass TV shows on DVD like he does. He owns hundreds of titles.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I've been 50 for a couple of days and have already worked in two naps and one quick "resting my eyes" session.
