You've all heard the saying, I'm proud to be black or I'm proud to be white, but when does pride of your heritage become racism? Cuz it seems to me like a lot of people mistaken black pride as form a racism or vice versa... I think alot of people thought the TRC album was a form of racism when all in reality I think Prince was just showing a simple case of black pride and stating a few facts about black history yet alot of people mistaken it as "RACISM"... So what's y'all opinion in this? If I was sit up here and talk about black is this, black is that, black is beautiful, black is the opposite of white, I know alot of people who really haven't experienced the black experience or the black cultural would call me a racist, say I was being cynical or just plain ridiculous for voicing my opinion and showing a little bit of pride for my people... yet if a Asian person or a Gay show a case of pride for their people they don't get look upon as being a racist ... sounds like a double standard to me, so what y'all think about this scenario

When you put down another, or exclude another on the basis of race. There is nothing wrong with loving ones self and where they come from.

Pride is actually a healthy emotion until the moment that it prompts you to treat other peoples with indifference and contempt.
