Let's remember those fans who passed before Prince... Hi, . The other day I was chatting with a fellow fan and I remembered the story of some fan who passed in the late 90's and we chatted about it. It made me realize how lucky I am, how lucky we are: this guy passed young and it's tragic in itself but he was a hardcore P fan and he's never heard TRC, he's never heard ONA, he's never heard Lotusflow3r or watched the Montreux 2009 video bootlegs, etc. So much he's missed. I may die tomorrow but at least, though sadly because it was too soon, I know how Prince's musical journey ended. I may pass before hundreds of vault recordings see the light of day but what I will have missed are just hidden chapters of a narrative I know the beginning, middle and end of. I can die in peace when it comes to Prince. Others weren't so lucky. . So I just wanted to have a thought about those Prince fans who were gone too soon, who passed thinking "Damn, I'll never know what Prince's next record will sound like!". It makes me feel sorry. I haven't known any fan who passed personally but after 40 years of P's career, I'm sure there were some. Please share your stories of those fans you knew who went too soon, let's remember them and pay homage to our fallen comrades. I'd like to hear their stories A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/ | |

Well put & lovely sentiment. That is actually a really good way of looking at P's passing, at least we shared many more experiences & got to see him Live many times over those years. Memories we will never forget.

A few years back my cousin phoned to inform that an old mutual friend of ours, whom neither of us had seen in roughly 10 years, had died. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
