Is anyone coloring Easter eggs this weekend?

Any other Easter traditions going on in the next few days?
This will be my first Easter away from my family -- my boyfriend and I are spending it this year with his family -- and it will be interesting to see what his family traditions are for that day.
My family always does an egg cracking for good luck -- eastern european and Greek thing -- Each person selects his/her egg. Then people take turns tapping their egg against the eggs of others, and the person who ends up with the last unbroken egg is believed to have a year of good luck.
I hope his family doesn't think I'm an egg-cracking freak smile !
What do you all have planned?

Already done...nana

Our family tradition:

My mom saves egg shells all year long...whew.
she only cracks the top of the egg, washes it,
and puts them up for the year.
Easter time, we let the kids color the eggs, let
them dry, then fill them with confetti, and glue
a piece of tissue paper over the hole, to hold
in the confetti. Then, on Easter, CRACK...over
someone's head. It's lots of fun...nod

We've even started my wife's family in on our
tradition...we're the toast of Easter!

WE ROCK!!! headbang
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Ugh... I have a hard enough time dealing with cards that people send me with oodles of confetti in them. Now I'm so paranoid about it that I shake the card, carefully open the card, slowly and carefully remove it from the envelope, gently open it.. all while holding it over a trash can. smile

But... what you described sounds like fun and worth cleaning up afterwards!
