In any case, I'm not sure pot would be the best drug to use to experience altered consciousness in any interesting way. Wouldn't ya wanna go for PCP or shrooms or something like that? Heroin, maybe? I dropped acid once, and the hallucinations were so drastic that I was too freaked out to really introspect. Weed, on the other hand, lets your mind continue to function, albeit differently, and does just enough weird shit to you to keep you busy/entertained for hours at a time. Fear is the mind-killer. | |

I tried it once or twice in my more reckless days... it did little if anything for me. The only other substance I've abused is amyl nitrate (poppers) to get a 30-sec buzz while making out with guys. Cheap thrills, and I'm so over them.

I smoke almost every day. I know it's extreme but honestly I never did it in college until AFTER I was done with my studying. And nowadays, I only take 1 hit or 2 at night. It has never affected my work performance...admittedly I feel "burnt" occassionally but I still think I think faster on my feet than most. | |
