The original Night Of The Living Dead movie from 1968, massively influential and very atmospheric. Though I agree that Planet Terror is probably the most fun zombie film.
The only 2 I can honestly say I like, and don't mind watching again are
Dawn of the Dead and Planet Terror
I love Cabin in the Woods too, but I don't think that counts
The 1978 version or the 2004 remake?
I likr both.
I actually saw the remake first, but I liked both. I remember the idea of them all taking refuge in a deserted mall during a disaster appealed to me for some reason
28 Days Later was a very good film, but it's strange because upon watching it I thought to myself "I really wouldn't watch this again". Not because it's a bad film, far from it, but just because it was so bleak. It's a very grim film, which of course is what it set out be, and does it very effectively.
That is all. I don't like zombie movies. There was a French zombie TV series that ran for two seasons that I thought was very cool called Les Revenants. I'd watch that again.
And there was some cowboys vs. zombies movie that I watched but somehow failed to review. It's not "Cowboys vs. Zombies" but it has cowboys and zombies in it. It wasn't very good, so I'm really surprised I didn't waste 350 words reviewing it. .

Technically speaking, The Crazies and 30 Days of Night are not really zombie movies, are they?
Both are great films, especially the latter, but it is a vampire flic, really.
Never heard of Deathgasm. Will probably watch it tonight.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
i don't have any great love for zombie movies either, really. i tried watching the late 70s/early 80s italian films some time back & remember finding them a bit dull. I do like the original romero 'night...' - i think that holds up really well as a classic, tight, creepy film.
and i like 28 days later quite a bit too. to this day, i've never seen the follow-up.
train to busan is korean zombie movie that got quite a bit of (justified, i'd say) acclaim when it was released in 2016 - it's tight and exciting and has a pretty good emotional kick too. genre fans who haven't seen it could do worse things with their time, i'd say.
and the girl with all the gifts, also from 2016, was really good as well - quite different, more a dystopian post-apocalpyse film than horror, i liked it a great deal.

My brother who, unlike me, LOVES zombie flicks keeps telling me to watch The Girl With All th Gifts, because he swears its my type of movie .. Maybe I will try to watch it this week.
How could we have gotten so far in this thread without mentioning Shaun Of The Dead? It's a fantastic movie and very funny.
I was just about to post this; love that movie!
For anyone that hasn't seen it, here is the the terrific scene where they zombies attack the pub to the sounds of Don't Stop Me Now by Queen on the jukebox. Warning - there is a little NSFW language at the end. And some zobie violence too, naturally.

Well, the way I determined what was a zombie movie was that I went back through all my movie reviews and searched for the word "zombie". If the review had that word, then it was a zombie movie. It's possible I may have used the word "zombie" a little more than I should have. But it's a great word!
WARNING - "Deathgasm" is really bad. But it's so bad that it's awesome! I hope you like it but don't go in expecting a good movie. It's really stupid! But awesome too!

Loved it really, it impressed me in a big way. Another masterpiece is Dawn of The Dead.

Yes, I agree. I completely forgot to mention that one. I absolutely loved every minute of it, and it is so much more than zombies, right?
I found it pretty deep and it was interesting to see the true characters of those passengers....their reactions, their ways to cope with the situation.

you're both right that it's much more than zombies.
in fact, when i said earlier that genre fans should give it a try, that was really a bit of a flub.
what i really ought to have said is that people who generally kinda hate or or indifferent to these movies ought to give it a chance, because it is a real cut above what you'd expect from those types of films, and it does have a real heart i think.

Indeed, I can't express enough how much I love this film. I'm glad I watched this film.
